Also noticed that they do a summer cleaning check list and an Autumn (Fall) one, these may be of some use to people
off to investigate now as If all the decluttering and cleaning is done, then there will be more time for thrifty gifty money making and spending:j

hello everyone i'd love to join in i love christmas but i'm so unorganized i'm the one running around on xmas eve so hopefully this year everything will be finished nice and early and i'll be able to put my feet up and enjoy the kids instead.

Just a quick one from me. I have been into wilkinsons tonight. They have loads and loads of their own brand kids craft stuff at fabulous prices!! a lot of it in my local one was reduced aswell I am stocked up fully on various things for through the holidays now. We have spoon decorating, we have frame making and decorating, we have masks to decorate, we have new colouring books and some funky pens plus loads more which I have forgot lol I spent quite a bit though but was well worth the bargains
plus my DD (aged 2) would be able to do a lot of it aswell
Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty - can I come and play ? Sounds like your house will be a lot of fun................:rotfl:
Ooops.............can't. Got cobweb chasers to make, a pile of pebbles to finish off (for me son -ones got goggly eyes and I want to put 'Neil Rocks' somewhere the pile)
plus door hanger for his new shed.
Thats without still trying to find my way round new computer.................lol (bit of a numpty at that!)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Rusty, Wilkinsons are great for their craft stuff aren't they. Plenty to keep the kids amused ( and the adults lol).
Started emptying the small freezer this morning only to realise that I cant reach the plug to turn it off to defrost it. We have a spare chest freezer in the cellar so I am going to go and clean it up tomorrow and try it out to see if it works then I can start buying bits in for the party and it will be ready for xmas stuff too.0 -

Hi Lilley
Welcome to the thread, were a friendly bunch, and promise you I'm not always that nasty with challenges (clean ur freezer).
Hopefully be xmas eve - ur be so organised, ur have ur feet up with a box of chocolates......xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Batteries
A SERIOUS THOUGHT - SMOKE ALARMS - FOR THOSE THAT HAVE SMOKE ALARMS - DO YOU CHECK UR BATTERIES - IDEALLY THEY NEED TO BE CHECKED A MINIMUM MONTHLY - (MAYBE TIE IT IN WITH SANTAS CHALLENGE) - AND BATTERIES SHOULD BE CHANGED ONCE A YEAR.
No I haven't gone mad, but try and stock up on spare batteries for the remote controls for TV / Freeview / Sky
Also if you buy anything check whether it needs batteries, (dual purpose -;) play daft and say ur getting a toy for a friend, say just realised as I was wrapping joe bloggs present, 4got to get some batteries - needs x AA or whatever - mum will be plzed u told her, uve saved money as uve passed the buck (naughty but money saving!!)
Would also consider getting some spares for yourself, esp come xmas morning, new toy - no batteries. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I always do this, have a big tub of batteries all year round especially the AA and AAA ones I always make a tub up ready for Xmas morning too, that includes batteries, sissors, small screwdrivers, bin bags etc... so I have everything at hand for the big unwrapping session. Nothing worse than routing around at the back of the draw for sissors to get rid of those plastic tags wrapped round all the toys;):D:D:D:D

I have to apologise I am not the most technical person in the world, or any good at crafting, (with the expection of my version of the Blue Peter letter rack - from the 1970s)!! but I make up for that in other ways....... my dd was once asked "what does your mummy do for a living" .... dd answered ....... "shes a professional kicker offer" - I have a reputation for complaining if something is wrong, or if bad service be that in person, on phone or by letter.... and I'm good at adding the 8% interest on for bank charges (even thou there on hold), so if theres anything I can do for anyone pm me and if I can help I will.
2 yrs ago when I was on hol, I ended up writing a letter for this bloke about his dodgy double glazing as he had been fighting a loseing battle for 12 months, 1 email back when were back in UK, problem fixed, retified and £200.00 goodwill gesture.
I've put the links in the 1st post for the folder challenge and Santas challanges, and further will be added in.
I've also put a link in for the organised christmas (it is american) but there are useful ideas.
Any set by my lovely Elf Choccy, shes adding to hers in Post 3.
Got to say a massive thank you to everyone of you, for making this a wonderful successful thread, the thread is for all of us, by all of us (if that makes sense).xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
