I'll probably get in trouble for this...but, this board hugely put me off casinos for a long time. I appreciated the help and advice of everyone on here so trusted the general theme of the board which I felt was 'casino offers are risky, don't do them'. I eventually did my own research and made a start. In about 4 months of matched betting I'd made about £1,600. In 12 months of casinos (at relatively low risk) I made over £15k (and that was below EV)
However, as JessicaMB says, there are plenty of places that do discuss casinos, I just feel that the tone of this board could put some people off something that could make them significant amounts of money.
Saying all that, Casinos are now much harder to make low risk money from, but there's still plenty out there.0 -
Rooster, we have had some decent dealings in the past and we sort of know each other in a virtual world.
i havnt read any replies to your OP but i must disagree with you about casino offers, i think its just simpler not to allow any chat on them unless theres a "no deposit" offer available. the casino offer you refered to meant obvious T&C's breaches which i know could apply to any offer we ever do, but a line must be drawn somewhere and as a 3 year MB'r i still do very little in the way of casino offers.
i do agree with you that all offers we do carry some risk, in the same way as stepping out of bed in the morning then carries risk for the rest of the day.
BLSQ in your example, was a disaster waiting to happen and warnings were posted on the thread early, i even got a few PM's thanking me for the warning and that they had decided not to do the offer becasue of them.
my main point i suppose i am trying to say is there must be a line, and in my opinion talking about casinos crosses it.
edit: i just saw your poll and voted "Yes, up to £100 but I can live with that". however the problem is that if that £100 loss had been in my 1st few offers it may have put me off for life whereas it happened fairly recently and i understand it happens but its easy to say with a few hundred in the bank from MB.
p.s i reported the casino thread to abuse.0 -

You could even have a -x% category for zanziba.
In 9 or 10 months of MB'ing I have:
Backed a bet at £6 instead of £30 (I think) as the odds were 6.0! lucky it lost as I laid the full amount. Made about £22 or so.
Made a couple of pennies mistakes laying at BF which have won/lost me less than £2 or so.
Ermmmm... I did a qualifier BOGOFF on WillHill that was cancelled so i cancelled the lay on the free bet as I thought it wouldn;t be honoured and it was and won raking me £350... Not really a mistake but a lesson learned to wait until teams are declared before doing a first try scorer.
I laid Jaxx as SNR by accident and it won netting me about £50 extra winnings.
So I have made a few little mistakes, I guess my "down turn" is just around the corner to even out this variance.Nothing to see here...0 -
Casino offers being discussed on MSE would be like Shroedingers Cat.
I can't imagine many casino offers that wouldn't be pulled/not honoured after being inundated by the traffic that a forum as popular as this would generate if we started preaching free money after xxx of low-risk wagering.
So ipso facto I think the line taken here is correct. Any moreorless risk-free casino offer discussed here would cease to be risk-free (if it ever was to begin with) & therefore should not be discussed here....0 -
I wish I made mistakes like yours zanziba!0

Its not possible when signing up to know for certain that the odds the site offers will be good enoughth to fulfill the wagering requirement without taking an overall loss.
Sorry had to laugh, :rotfl: do you seriously think bookmakers dont let you see their odds before you make a deposit? plus as has already been said the odds would have to be diabolical to not make at least some profit. Thats made my night.0 -
This forum has helped us loads,
In about 2years, we have made abuot £2500 from this, and its bought us..
A garden shed
A dvd surround system
Tiled our kitchen
Replaced outside door
Replaced inner door
Paid for half a holiday
and we still have just over £800 left in the bank.
Yes, i have lost cash, but its all a learning curve. As long as the +ve's are more then the -ve's then thats that all that matters,
and the only way is up.0 -

A garden shed (For me to sit in)
A dvd surround system (For me in the the Shed)
Tiled our kitchen (Made of sound deadening material to block out surround system noise for wife)
Replaced outside door (As noise from shed's 5x4000Watt speakers blew it out)
Replaced inner door (Like I said, it's a good system)
Paid for half a holiday (The half being sending the wife somewhere she can't hear the noise)
and the only way is up (Volume that is).
I know, I am a bad bad person, but I couldn't resist writing what went through my head as I read the post.Nothing to see here...0
