I'm sure there will be pics somewhere so I'm going to go in search but would you take the gloves out of the plastic box because it looks a bit cheap or would you leave them in it because it has the instructions on the back?
I think I'd leave them in. I've used the old style packaged No7 gloves in hampers, (thanks AM x ) and just covered the part of the box that's a green colour, with something else. They flop about all over the place even when they're in a boxBut I guess it's just a preference thing.
If I've ever had to take anything out of a box, like instructions, I usually fold it up and lay it under any shredded tissue I've used. HthOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -
[Then tried Boots on Regent Road - a few odds & ends on clearance, including some No 7 No Grains Exfoliation-stuff with a SEL of £4.** - I did think of trying this with a Perkie, as its not got a clearance label on, but the Compact didn't have a clearance label & that wouldn't go through with a Perkie on Thursday,] Quoting
I got this Thursday with a perkie. The other cheaper one does not go thorough but the no grains one does.I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o0 -
Just going to use the rest of mine on the compacts (have enough nail buffers) and will check out the gloves someone mentioned eariler..
Off to catch up on other posts now and hth someone...xxx
sorry to snip so harshly karen (i'm trying to save space on the thread:o )

PS I saw the No7 SP compacts instore the other day with a SEL of £6.xx but it wasn't actually a reduced label IYSWIM, just a normal looking one. I think Mr B is on dodgy ground with that if he says we can't use perkies with reduced items.
A good point Sally, yesterday I saw a load of No7 all with normal SEL that would not scan with a perkie. It was on a section with a last chance to buy notice.
But there was nothing on it to indicate that they were clearance items, to the uninitiated it looked like items that were being discontinued.
OK, it's only a subtle difference I know. but the growling SA shouted that the vouchers could not be used on them, even before anyone tried to use them.
Even though I regularly use the store she made me feel like a thief. It makes me wonder how many other customers who are not so savvy with the vouchers were put off buying any No7 by the confusion as to what a voucher can be spent on.
Both full price and clearance sel looked exactly the same.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
A couple of quick questions:
Do they put in fresh meal deals on Sundays, or are they likely to have anything left that is fresh? Was thinking of picking one up tomorrow for my hubby's lunch for work on Monday (I usually make him a sandwich but the Tesco order won't be in until monday after he's gone).
Also, what are the good items to buy for the snack/dessert? I know to look out for bogof sodas, but what is the best deal on snacks?
Finally, if you order on .com, do you pick it up at the photo desk in the store? It seems someone said that's where they get theirs.
Thanks for the help!0 -
If I see a pint of milk reduced, a sandwich reduced and some fruit reduced, and got the lot, would it be classed as a meal deal? If so, it would have been wicked. Milk was 30p, Sandwich was 75p and Fruit was 35p, so the total would have been £1.50ish. Was going to give it a go, but decided to get it with my points. Saturday afternoons are always great for reduced items. Shame they don't do cheese and onion sandwiches at my local, cos if they had been reduced I would have got the whole lot.
Thanks to everyone that recommended the Boots Expert Lip Balm thing. I got some today, and it is great. Does not shine or glisten. Plus it it's nice and smooth. It would be great if they did it in a mint or strawberry flavour. I would definitely recommend it.
And thanks for the tips re: Clinique concealer. Will try and take it back, but if that horrid SA is there I will probably wet myself cos she was proper mean! Oh err Missus!
Sorry off topic, Tesco Cheese & onion sandwich is to die for.
on topic.
Been to Beckton because the Rotherhithe Tunnel was open today:T . Looked for the eye and brow kit as found by the lovely SandraScarlett a few weeks ago but they had all gone. I did buy the No7 Party Purse from the christmas range. was reduced to £3.75, so 75% off. + a 250pts WYB No7 voucher. I also saw thisbut only in BLACK, for £60. Shame really as I need the pink one for my niece for Christmas. Then I went to Galleans reach in Beckton and they had loads of the Men Expert anti-fatigue sets for £3.** each. The SEL still said £18.**. I bought 2 but there were loads left
Hope you all had a good day

personally i wouldnt call the woman greedy. that's a tad rude. there's nothing wrong with stocking up on stuff when you can get it cheap. i mean who would rather pay for it at full price?
it's a bit hypocritical for anyone on this board to call her greedy because lots of people have "stocked up" on items when they've found them cheap or reduced.
sorry, that was a bit of rant. Some people are just extremely greedy - we've seen this in the sale and I think jessie_yi experienced a similar thing last week. Hopefully not an MS'er/Bootser, these people aren't even ashamed if you tell them how greedy they are being. Let's hope it made her very happy to buy all of the shelf, sad woman that she is!!!0 -

HTHLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

:rotfl:
I'm no good at wombling either, but I spotted one the last time around in the large store in York. But I felt like I'd spotted a fiver and didn't want to be seen picking it up (don't ask me why - it's totally irrational LOL) so I said to OH out of the corner of my mouth:
"Bluey coming up".
He says: "Where?"
Me: "There, LOOK, there!". So out of the corner of his mouth (LOL) He says: "But where???"
Me (still talking out of the side of my mouth): "On the floor you numpty"
Him: But whereabouts?"
Me: "Three o'clock" ...!!
I was nearly on the floor laughing at it all. What a palaver :rotfl: :rotfl: But then, to make it worse, this old dear must have been watching it, and came up and placed one in my hand saying "Here you go luvvie" :rotfl:
I had to walk out LOLI daren't think what we must have looked like on CCTV :rotfl:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: this really made me laugh!!! still am actually!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: really funny!!
Still trying to catch up but also wanted to say... feeling slightly envious of those of you who went on a group MSE bootsing expedition!!! I have to go it alone always as tbh NONE of my friends seem to get it & look at me a bit strange when/if I start to talk about it!! Went to Bluewater yesterday & didn't even bother - did go into Mr B's but my friend was looking at me like I was mad & also there seemed to be LOADS of No7 SAs all over the place looking like thunder!! & I could hear loads of customers looking at No7 products & muttering to themselves & others that there were only a few select items that the vouchers were working on!!! all seemed tooo stressful so I left it!!
Off to fully catch up now...0
