Helen I wouldn't bother with Mothercare... either go to a good independant or Bravissimo - do tell them you're pregnant though as they will fit you slightly differently :)

At a 34J I can honestly say I never thought I'd be able to wear a non-wired bra but seriously it's sooooo comfy! I have a wired one too but I can't wear it for more than a few hours :( Maybe if the boobs weren't so tender as a rule it wouldn't be as much of a problem?

  • Thanks ladies for answering my question re hyper baby, he's still having a mad time of shifting about, will keep an eye on him. We did have pizza takeaway on friday night and I had one glass of coke (v.v. rarely drink fizzy) so that might have set him on a sugar high! He usually has the odd move about during the day and then is quite active when I go to bed but he hasn't stopped bouncing yet since Friday evening. I swear if he tries to fit any further up my body then I'll have stretch marks on my shoulders! He keeps putting feet/hands/something right under my ribs, thought he was going break through between my ribs the other day!

Although the cheese on the pizza caused the most horrific nightmare I've ever had. Everybody that saw me was trying to squash the baby outta me and harm him, start fires that we'd be caught in etc. I woke up sobbing my little heart out, so glad it was hubby's day off and he was still there. Got lots of big cuddles and he cuddled me and bump until I fell back to sleep. Bless him

I'm not sure if its a good or bad thing that in england we have twice as long to register them

  • Mothercare is poo for bra fitting if you are a big girl. Bravissimo is the place!!

I have spent the last 2 hours making a nappy cake for my sister who is due on 9th amrch. It looks fab! She doesn't know what she is having so i have both pink and blue ribbon and a pink and blue teddy so when baby is born can quickly shove the relevant parts on and we are away!

It has 3 layers and inside it is some wipes, baby bath, a sponge and some cotton wool. On the corners i have some talc and thats it so far but am going shopping tomorrow to pick up some baby oil, sudacrem and some baby shampoo.

Heres a picture of Charlie in my shawl - its hand crochet'd by my Nan and its huge. I think we had to fold it into about 4 to put in his moses basket. Sorry not the best picture of Charlie, unfortunately he got his stratch mitts off without me realising and scratched himself

Unfortunatley I've not got a bravissimo near me is there anywhere else people recommend for fitting for my boulder holders (bras!)?

Claire see if there are any smaller independants near you - it does depend on the size you are how good they are if you go to someone like M&S etc... the bigger you are the worse their service and choices are... And apparently their ability to accurately fit you!

Talking of (.)(.). Thought I'd copy that as it was so cool.

Just got out shower, nasty stretch mark coming on one of mine, gutted. Got them on my tummy but nicely faded. Bio oil has been implemented, or is it too late? :(
Too many children, too little time!!!
