  • Hiya SB - was hoping you would pop in - went for my growth scan and the hospital were sh1te

So haven't got a clue other than it is likely to be a biggie (their words - 'well it's not going to be a 5 pounder'). His abdominal circumference and femur length put him just under the 97th centile.

I can't remember now...did you know that Jamie was going to be larger than your average bear? And if so, did you worry about it?

    What happened to MFD?!
Sami, are you hoping for a girl? DH and I were really surprised that Jamie was a boy as we assumed we would have another daughter . I'm glad I had time to let it sink in tbh but obviously now I wouldn't have it another way! :D.
Hope ladies and bumps are well! :)
    xx
at first I assumed it would be another boy but I just feel like its a girl
I wouldn't be upset if its a boy just as u say need time to let it sink in

Where you scheduled to have a scan? Hope everything was ok before?

Yep, I knew he was going to be a biggy. He was estimated at 8lb 2oz at 37w  so he packed on a bag of sugar and then some in 5ish weeks! :D. Did they guestimate Bubba's weight?

I was worried at the time but my consulant said bigger babies are easier to push out and he was spot on!.

I didn't have any extra growth scans with Poppy so had no idea what she would be.

  • Where you scheduled to have a scan? Hope everything was ok before? When I went to the MW last Wed she said my measurements had shot up so she was sending me as a precaution for some reassurance (that worked!!! )

Nope - the consultant (who looked at my hubby the whole time he was talking) said something about 8 or 9 lbs (which I think is fine) but without a head measurement they said that any guess could be 2 lbs out (you can guess the weight of most babies give or take 2 llbs!!!)

I was worried at the time but my consulant said bigger babies are easier to push out and he was spot on!. I KNEW someone had said that!! The outcome of today is for me to carry on and try to deliver as normal.

I didn't have any extra growth scans with Poppy so had no idea what she would be.

Feeling better about it now but stupid consultant said something flippant about it being because I was feeding the baby too much...as hubby pointed out later - he hasn't got a clue how much I am eating but I guess I am a little sensitife ATM.

    39 weeks today :j
