Talking of (.)(.). Thought I'd copy that as it was so cool.

Just got out shower, nasty stretch mark coming on one of mine, gutted. Got them on my tummy but nicely faded. Bio oil has been implemented, or is it too late? :(
I think according to the bio-oil people its never too late ;)

I liked huggies newborn best because they seemed to fit "nicer"

We started with a pack or two of pampers newborn, and are now onto the Huggies (thanks to the boots glitch!), but have had a couple of leakages  . I'm hoping i just need to fasten more carefully as we've got 9 more packs to use!!

Also, angela6834, i remember looking at the size of the nappies and worrying they would be too small, and panicing as I had 12 packs of them!! Now she's here - they're huge on her - i forgot just how small babies were!!

And, angela again and krystaltips, i definately recommend breastfeeding for weightloss! I didn't put a lot of weight on while pregnant - just over 1 stone i think - but Violet was two weeks old on Saturday, and I had my old favorite size 12 jeans on, and they needed a belt :D . I am eating loads (keep needing pudding after tea!), and have a raging thirst while feeding.

Caz i'm pleased little one has settled a bit now milk has come in! I was really worried Violet was starving til my boobs filled up! I always wonder why the milk doesn't come in as soon as baby is here! Strange nature thing I suppose. Hope the sleepless nights aren't too bad for you - i'd forgotten how hard it is. I'm shattered.

I'm trying my best to get organised this week - getting three children up, dressed, fed and two to school on time. How do people with more than 1 or 2 children do it? OH is still off work, for another two weeks and he did the school run for the first week, then half term for the second week, but I really need to get myself organised in prep. for him going back to work.

I've only just read this last page - going to scan through a few pages back now - but hugs, labour vibes, recovery vibes and congrats to whoever needs them.

  • Evening all - things have calmed down a bit in the MFD household. In hindsight I knew the scan was a waste of time and should have said no really.

DSS called earlier to check that everything was alright and that he still had a baby brother on the way - bless him! I have had a ton of texts today asking how I am doing, from people who didn't know I was going for a scan as well as those that did. At least with texting you don't have to speak to people or I would have spent most of the day either crying or effing and blinding.

Caz - are things okay with your OH hun? You know where we are if you need someone to badmouth him for you!! (it's easy when you don't know people!!)

Weezl - finding the whole experience a bit strange now. Wish Bubba would just hurry up!

hmm I wonder what ur all looking at
I see your little lights on :p
I just did the gender predictor on bounty and it said Chris should have been a girl :p
makes me feel better about it saying this one is a boy.
I've just told myself that I'm gonna find out the sex  but I'm not gonna tell anyone else :o I'm so convinced this one is a girl that I need to know, I feel like I'd need time to adjust if its a boy and it's better to do that now than when I've just given birth methinks.
I'm a bit gutted I don't seem to be strong enough to resist finding out but hey ho its no biggie

  • Funny how you always think after you should of declined the offer afterwards isn't it MFD! Exactly how I feel about half my appointments so far...

3onitsway, nature is a funny thing and milk coming in is a hormonal thing, it's reliant on the placenta coming away and the baby suckling frequently etc... But colostrum that comes first is highly concentrated and the antibodies and nutrition it delivers to the baby is a lot more than milk, it really sets the babies tummy up and gets its immune system going...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Oh Sami, I can't believe you're going to give in and find out... Your letting team lemon down!

Krystal I'm sorry :o I have failed you all and am hanging my head in shame :)
I stand in front of you all and say that I Sami Bee am as weak as a very weak thing :p

on the milk coming in thing I was amazed at how small a newborn's stomach is (its about the size of a marble) it only holds 5-7mls and that's all it need while getting colostrum a real miracle of nature IMHO

  • What have I missed?

    What happened to MFD?!

Sami, are you hoping for a girl? DH and I were really surprised that Jamie was a boy as we assumed we would have another daughter . I'm glad I had time to let it sink in tbh but obviously now I wouldn't have it another way! :D.

Hope ladies and bumps are well! :)

    xx
