I'd agree with the above, don't make us suffer this until Monday, take it down now and make your changes, then present us with the tweeked version. This is clearly unpopular among the majority of members, it is way to bright and actually causing genuine headaches!!
This look is a failure, put it down to experience, roll back and try again next week.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
As expected, lots of moans about the what are very minor cosmetic changes!
Anyone using a decent browser can remove the colours and display the forum how they want to see it. e.g. users with visual impairment problems could display their pages like this:...
Do you honestly find the forum threads view as easy to read now (or easier) as it was this morning?
So you're suggesting that in order to make the pages more readable everyone should switch to a decent browser and turn on options for visually impaired users.
Much as I am an advocate for everyone using a decent browser (firefox is my choice) it still seems a bit of an extreme suggestion in order to view 1 site.

just tried again and it's still pale pink and green. It's hurting my eyes
F5 was to get the pale pink and green screen instead of the brown block by the on-line light.

I can't highlight and quote and where have the 'built-in smilies gone?
Errata I agree with you. Bring back defining lines. If I take off my glasses, it's like viewing the forum through banana angel delight.0 -
sorry, but i really don't like it, it's far to bright & hurts my eyes
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Ok, whoever suggested pressing F5 - I'm gonna kill you! nothing had changed on my screen (except the brown/red boxes in the bottom left) until I did this!
Now the posts don't fit on my screen!  the colours are ok, but they do hurt your eyes - how strange!
Can I unpress F5 anyhow??????????????????????? PLEASE!0 -
I hate it, it's all wishy washy. I quite like the colour in the quote box but please can we have the more defined lines back?:A

Not just your opinion, mine as well. I wonder how people with a degree of visual impairment will find it. I wonder if this change was run past the RNIB accessability service ?
I'm very short sighted and the only problem i'm having is when i'm in a thread like this, everything blends and i'm having to strain my eyes a lot more than usual. But I have turned my brightness down quite a bit and that has helped a lot. I don't think any of these changes would affect a blind/partially sighted person using a speech package like Jaws though, because it doesn't matter what colour it is(could get my mum to have a look but if there are any problems she wont know if they were there before or not)
Hopefully they will put some lines in to make the posts more defined, I think it will look alright then. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies
