Hi! Sorry I'm not as active this week, I'm training a girl at work so I can't spend all day in and out of here, I have to actually work! LOL!

First things first- Chocolate watch! It is still unopened in my bag. I'm leaving it there so if I do want to have a major 'Cheat' it's still allowed kind of and isn't too bad carb wise!

Second, I did my 1 week weigh in this morning and I've lost 6lb! I didn't think I'd lost anything but I have! I measured myself too and oddly everything is the same but my thighs! What an odd place to lose from! I hope it's going to work upwards and hit my bum and hips next!

I'm feeling much more positive now that I've seen that I've lost weight, it doesn't seem quite so pointless. We'll see how I manage next weekend, that's the hardest time for me because my BF doesn't need to diet and refuses to do this with me so he eats loads of junk (although he held back a little this weekend, just the one huge bar of white chocolate!) and keeps teasing me with whatever he's eating. I have asked, begged, shouted at him to stop doing it because I don't want to fail but it's like he can't stop himself! Git!

I'm already planning the low carb choccy cake and custard for next tuesday!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I have just bought a birthday cake but would love low carb cake recipes if anyone would like to post the recipe.

It would be fantastic if I could make a cake or dessert that fooled DDs into thinking it was "normal".

Mind you a bowl of strawberries or raspberries with greek yoghurt or double cream on it is hardly sufferng or being deprived!

    That sounds gorgeous!!! Thank you!

Woke up early so went for a cup of tea downstairs and have just had a bacon omelette.

Had to laugh last night as I have been buying tiny water biscuits (2 grams carb each) for when I absolutely must have something to crunch. I had noticed that they seemed to be disappearing but assumed it was DDs.

DH came home last night while I was having a couple of them and said "These are nice aren't they! I have been having some every night!!!

Why is it that no matter what sort of eating plan that you are on will the family zero in and scoff the one thing you have bought specially to fit in with it?

Later on I am going to try trousers two sizes down to see how near they are to fitting me, but will probably have to wear the trousers one size down that did not zip up at all four weeks ago.

Did any one else watch Trinny and Susannah last night - that really inspired me to lose weight!!!!!!

I meant to watch "The secret millionaire" but forgot when and what channel it was on.

Might try to find it online.

DH has just said he will book the restaurant for tonight as you get treated better than if you just walk in off the street!

One DD has just given me a card she made herself and the DD who is in Vietnam on holiday has sent me an e mail!

The other two DDs are still asleep!

I don't like raw celery but might try cucumber cut into sticks and dip it into cream cheese or I suppose I could just slice it and top with Philly instead and try to convince myself it is a cracker.

    instant bread/cake

100g Ground Almonds.. u can use less almond and more flax or 50/50 ..i do 20flax 80almond
    25g melted butter
    2 eggs
    1 tablespoon cream
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
Mix wet ingredients, then add the dry. Pour into whatever container you like- (a lunch box makes it fit exactly into your lunch box afterwards)and nuke for 3 mins
u can make lots of variations of this by adding different herbs etc or add in sweetener and lemon or other essence or da vincis if u have it or s/free cocoa powder and make it into a cake

elona no didnt see T&S last night , will see i can watch the rerun.. good luck on the trousers.. lol u are right they always zero in on the one thing u got for you that cost a fortune when they can afford to eat the normal stuff lol

birdie.. fantastic news on the loss well done!!!! god your b/f needs a good slap does he not want u to lose weight, thats really unfair of him.. withhold his conjugals til he stops lol

forgot to say yesterday my friend commented on my weightloss as i have lost even more since i saw her last,, its nice to get a comment cos i rarely do now as people are used to me this weight

Good morning my lovlies :hello: Bin a bit quiet on here - hope everyone's ok xx

Elona - hope you had a great birthday yesterday... is there any cake left?:D

Well after a couple of frustrating weeks, it seems my weight has resumed it's downward trend. Maybe there was a water retention thing going on there for a while - don't know - but back on track now anyway which is good :) I need to lose at least a couple of stone, but if I can just get to the first stone lost I'd be pretty chuffed with that.

Am feeling quite good too, for once... probably nothing to do with the fact that I will be on holiday the day after tomorrow:D... did I not mention that already? *sazzy ducks*;):D:D

Where's our Ted? Haven't seen him for a while. I wanted to tell him I'm 30 pages in to Gary Taubes' The Diet Delusion and I'm really enjoying it. Very thought provoking. Only trouble is, the book weighs a ton lol! I'll probably lose weight just carrrying it to work and back every day! :rotfl:

Right, I best go and make a cuppa and get on with some work.

Much love to all and have a good day

    Hi Sazzy

I had a great birthday thanks.

Enjoyed the Thai meal but I ate the small amount of rice it came with and a few prawn crackers and felt really bloated last night.

Had bacon omelette this morning with coffee and intend to stay on low carb as I am desperate to lose the "bloat" - being hypothyroid does not help either.

Is it only me or does anyone else find they can try three pairs of trousers from the same store (Mand S) and one can be a little loose, one a bit tight and the other hardly do up at all?

One DD gave me some money for my birthday so if DH will give me a lift to a big Sainsbury I want to get a couple of nice cardigans for the winter- they are a rounded style that is not supposed to do up so I hope they will fit even when I lose weight.

It has been pouring with rain and feels like winter already!
