That sku (aka product code) could be a God-send.
Just phoned up and they reckon that my local store have three in stock.

Can't reserve online, but useful to check - 0800 0565732.

    Hi All..

o.k. Went into PC World at the Southend Airport site and asked a chap if they had one. Chap looked a bit confused & told me he'd never heard of it and said if we had anything like that it'd be over near to the wireless section. (Obviously didn't have a clue what I was asking for though).

Looked and you guessed it. No Luck.

Not satisfied with that I waited around and was eventually approached by an eager young assistant and I asked him the same question, stating 'Pinnacle Show Centre' and '1000g model'.

"Nope never had them in stock", he told me.
"But you have them reduced from £135.00 to £69.00" I said.
" Oh really", he said, "In that case I'll have a look out back to see if we might have one left over".
Waited and waited and after 10 mins out he emerged with box in hand.
"Found one" He said, "Is this what you are after?".
Me, "Er yes, Thanks" and off I trundled and paid for it.

Point is - Dont accept the first answer. Insist that they have some and then they might be bothered to find out for you. Tell the spotty pr**k that the manager had said that there are some available and insist that they bother to look, otherwise you could be missing out on this bargain.

Anyway, I need some help now. I cant use mine because I dont have a wireless adapter installed in my system AND I only have an AMD 850 but it says that 1Gig is min requirement.

Now do I bother getting the card and if so what exactly do I need and how much?
Secondly will AMD 850 manage and where would I lose out?
(Motherboard is approx 4 years old)
Thirdly is it about time to get rid of and go get a Dell or something.

My system does everything else that I need at the mo and I have no other need to upgrade tho 19"Ctx CRT getting a bit tired.

    Any Advice well appreciated.

    Thx

The no stock is for ordering online for home delivery only.

The red cross for collect in store is because 75% of stores have to have stock before collect in store reservation is avalable online. So 70% of stores may have stock but this will not show on the website.

To find stock call the 0800 0565732. quoting the sku#.
