As an OpenOffice user and someone who has been unable to open the .xls file in ExcelViewer i would love to be able to have this file, please and thankyou. Shall i PM you my e-mail address?s3ntinel wrote:Hi, being an OpenOffice user (you can't get better than 'free' - see http://www.openoffice.org), I've created a compatible version after modifying the macros created by 'Tony H'.
Functionality is the same, except 'Save & EXIT' only saves (at the moment - it is late!)
I'll email it on request, or post a link, if approved by the copyright holder...

It's not designed to be changed, if you wish to see specific changes post them here & they may be included in future versions.0 -
I've just downloaded the budget spreadsheet but am having a bit of a problem. I have both Microsoft Excel and Open Office. When I downloaded the spreadsheet i didn't get an option which program to use, it just automatically used the Open Office.org cal program. It seemed to download fine but when I click on the buttons on the right hand side, expenditure etc.. I just get 'A scripting framework error occurred while running the basic script
vnd.sun.star.script:standard.GOTO_Expenditure?Language=basic&location=document. Message:BasicProviderImpl::getscript:no script!'
I have tried to launch the program using the excel program but it tells me that the it's not a recognisable format, if I open it anyway, it's just fills the page with what looks like computer language.
Any ideas what i need to do??0 -
Delete the file from your PC, then come back to the website & download again. Extract the file and save it to your computer. Open excel then select open from the file menu, this will enable you to open the budget successfully from within excel.
I would just like to re iterate, this is an Excel file and will only work in MS Excel. If you use anything else eg Works, OO or a Mac computer you will have to use the online version.

Whenever i click on the link, i am faced with a blank white screen with a small square with a few shapes in it in the left hand corner. 'Done' appears on the tool bar. Whats blocking it? Ive tried turning off all firewalls etc.
Thanks0
