  • On Channel 4 last night, Richard & Judy launched their 'Drop a dress size diet' in time for Xmas.

The diet sheet is available at £1.50 but if you go to this link you can get last years version as a pdf file for free.

  • hi everyone, this is my first post on the weight loss thread as i've just found it and think its great !! On my way towards my ideal weight and one little tip i've found good is measuring your waste with string usual way (one inch below belly button) then hold put against wall and mark the height, like when you were a kid. Then you can see it reducing week by week (hopefully!!) don't know if this has been mentioned before am still making my way through nearly 100 pages !!!!!
  • Has anyone tried the Paul McKenna hypnosis tape? I've read mixed reviews about it. I was looking at the book (which comes with CD) in Smith's. It looked interesting but I didn't want to fork out to buy it unless there was a at least a chance of it working. Isn't losing weight REALLY, REALLY, REALLY DIFFICULT!! My problem is that I LOVE food.
  • Armadillo: My colleague has this. It basically tries to focus you on a healthy attitude towards food. Healthy eating, controlling portion sizes (stopping when full), and realising no food is bad if eaten in moderation. Basically the best way to lose weight and keep it off - no secret at all. (see my previous post about WW No count).

Said colleague hasn't lost anything as she thought it would be a 'magic' cure and is now trying Slimfast - never a good long term option.

Anyway. Bad week this week. Had takeaway curry, didn't do a proper shop and eat loads of convenience meals. Then my mum bought 2 packs of mince pies that only I like, with cream  I ate them all during the week :o As I hadn't planned my food properly I bought lunch at work ended up as jackets with cheese. Didn't go for any walks all week :(

Put on 1lb which is less than I expected as I've been so bad. But it's made me more determined to lose 2lb next week. I don't want end Christmas any heavier than I started. If I don't get back on the wagon now, I know I won't stop eating until January.

It's Christmas do next week and we're going to a swanky restaurant. Already chosen from the menu and I'll drive so I can't drink. I'll have coffee instead of a pudding and just fruit for lunch in preparation.

    I must, I must, I must, I must, I must..............
