Hiya
Day 13 for me - no cravings either.
Found a new concoction - pomegranite (from Aldis chill counter), fizzy water from the fridge and lots of ice. It's got a lovely dry taste - I guess cranberry would create the same effect. Yum!
Went up a mountain yesterday.........Moel Siabod in North Wales.......boy was it hot !! But the view were suberb.................makes you kinda glad to be alive.
I missed the troll - does it stand for Terrible Rantings Of a Low Life - he/she obviously has been dealt with quickly and deftly - a murder most horrid I suspect.
I was woken up in the night with a sore shoulder and had to get up. Whilst the painkillers were taking effect I caught up on all the posts. I wrote a huuuuuuuuuuuge reply and then somehow I lost it.....................pow !! gone before it was posted...............so I kinda gave up then and went back to bed. The arm is better today thank goodness............look, can lift it above my head now.............:T
Hope you're day is sunny, but not too sweaty. Thanks for making me smile and keeping me strong wherever you guys may be.:D:T:T:D:D

 Is anyone else finding this harder than they thought they'd find it?
I'm really surprised at how attached I am to drinking.
If it's a special occasion I am pathologically unable to not drink alcohol - and I'm all wishy washy about it even when I try to cut down.
People keep buying me drinks even when I say I'm not drinking (probably cos I'm not firm enough about it) and it seems SO rude to refuse or waste them.
So consequently I'm hardly seeing some friends cos if I go out with them I'll end up drinking.
I'm feeling a bit frustrated to be honest. I thinki I'll just have toi say that's it - I don't drink. Full stop.
I'm really proud of all of you who are doing so well, and I sympathise with those of you who are finding it hard - like me!

Welcome to my club
Why not say that you are no longer going to drink at home and only drink when you socialise? Or do you socialise more than you're at home
Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to try.
Cheers honey. :T
I might ask my son not to bring booze into the house for a while to help me. Most of the time I'm fine until he offers me a bottle of beer but I just can't seem to say No. As soon as the option is there I really fancy one.
I was given some wine as a thank you a while ago but I have managed to give most of it away and take the rest ot parties etc.
I think if we have a booze free house it'll be easier.
Ok so Day One for me...!
How are you getting on honey? Have you identified any triggers that "set you off"?

Gosh Jacks that is SO ME. I just don't have the courage to say I will stop altogether, makes me panic (erm, not good sign then? but but..... ). Don't even want to go there, it's the cutting down ie control when I AM drinking that I want to do but can't get a handle on. I have a new master plan now (just stop YAWNING will y'all?); actually, have just decided to save it until I see if it works. Bit of a drag elsewise for you dear readers.
Phee, Jo, good to hear from you at last! We was worried!0 -
Hi Jacks, I know what all my triggers are, just choose to ignore them sometimes
winebox, panic? don't talk to me about panic... I have got to go to a party in August, found out about it in January and had panic attacks about what if I decide to stop before then, how am I going to cope
No wonder AA recommend living for the day and no further!
