Lloyds 6.5% Cash ISA - Will Close on Friday 11 April

Options
When I was opening my ISA today, the guy I was seeing showed me a memo from Lloyds head office. The new 6.5% cash ISA will definitely be withdrawn from sale on Friday.

Act now if you want it!!!!

  • Bear in mind that the 6.5% rate is only payable on balances of £9,000 or above (i.e. 3 years' worth of ISA deposits).

For balances below £9,000, the Lloyds ISA is uncompetitive.
    Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
    Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
    Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
    ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)

Yes this has been pointed out numerous times in the other thread.

Providing you are looking to transfer in and have over £9K, this seems pretty much the market leader for cash ISAs.

Does this mean if I go in on friday it will be too late, or are they allowing you to still apply until close of play on friday?

They said close of play but there seems to be other rumours flying around. I guess it would be prudent to do it ASAP.

Do you hold a LLoyds account already? If so then yes, if not then I would take a utility bill also.
