WIRELESS All-In-One Printer under £70

Options
Staples have the Brother DCP-340CW for £69.99 as part of their Fathers Day Deals. I assume this is instore only as I saw it advertised in the paper today.

The spec is pretty good for the price (most websites are selling it for around £130 and Brothers website has it listed at £175). I got a DPC-310CN from Argos recently for £40 and I'm well pleased with it - this looks the same but wireless instead of wired. Assuming the ink catrdiges are the same as the DCP-310CN then they are cheap to get hold of too - see this thread.

Here's the spec - taken from Bother's website:
  • Up to 15ppm printing speed (colour)
  • Up to 20ppm printing speed (monochrome)
  • Up to 1200 x 6000dpi print resolution
  • Wired and wireless network ready
  • Up to 100 sheet paper capacity
  • Up to 10 sheet automatic document feeder
  • PC free copying
  • Up to 1200 x 1200dpi copy resolution
  • 25 - 400% reduction/enlargement ratio in 1% increments
  • Scan to e-mail, image, OCR, file or card
  • Up to 600 x 2400dpi scan resolution (optical)
  • Up to 19,200dpi scan resolution (interpolated)
  • Print digital images directly from SmartMedia, Compact Flash, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Secure Digital, xD Picture Card and MultiMedia Card
  • Scan & Translate feature
  • One year on-site warranty (upon registration)

If you want a laser printer you can buy a refurbished brother 2070n(network enable) from ebay - brotherUK for about the £50 mark plus £7.50 p+p. I won at £46 + postage. These retails at £155 new.

    Size is 343 x 345 x 135 mm

Remember this has a scanner on top, hence the size. My DCP-310CN has virtually the same footprint as my old Epson C42 once you open up the paper tray - and the Epson has no scanner.

Sorry - don;t have the paper any more, but it's a Fathers Day Deal - so I would assume the deal is up to Saturday or Sunday. No voucher on the advert - just go and pick one up.

One last thing, are you saying the bottom of your new printer is about the same as your old C42? Because I used to have that (I guess this priinter may be a bit bigger though?

It is bigger, but with paper in the feeder and the output tray extended, it takes up the same amount of space on my shelf.
