What Value stuff should be avoided?

Following on from the "good Value" post, does anyone have tips about what Value stuff to run a mile from?
I'll start with Tesco washing up liquid. I thought that for about 15p a litre it could never be so bad that the normal stuff worked out cheaper. I was wrong!
If anyone has managed to get bubbles/grease removal/clean pots from it I'll eat my hat:cool:
Any more ideas?

Once had a Tesco own-brand tomato flavour pasta-and-sauce packet that was beyond foul.If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0

I thought there wouldn't be much difference between Tesco regular noodles and their value noodles. After all noodles is noodles is noodles.. I was wrong. I had the chicken ones today, they smelled like aniseed and tasted how I imagine the 15p washing up liquid would. And all for a saving of less than 20p, I wonder if the birds'll have them..One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

I know what you mean about the noodles, SolwayKid. Except I continue to buy them, because the difference between 8p and 23p for the better ones always seems like a significant amount!
If I'm feeling flush I occasionally treat us to genuine Super Noodles, the only brand to do Sweet and Sour flavour...:cool:0 -
Their tinned chopped tomatoes are really watery and flavourless. I find the Lidl ones soooooo much better.
And if anyone does still buy bread - then treat yourself and stay away from the value loaves. Only fit for the ducks IMO0 -

I say give the bread ago. I found the basics bread bought from Sains in Godalming was always good. However the basics bread from the bracknell store was 95% rubbish. I'm sure it depends on storage too.
Tesco value chocolate is horrible. But Basics chocolate is OK.0
