going to try and drop the coffee now so any tips to avoid caffeine withdrawal would be greatly received!
love you all......
Hi pink, you didn't say why you are dropping the coffee but if it's just to avoid the caffeine then decaff coffee is the obvious choice. I drink decaff but think you can also get a jar of half & half from Nescafe so that may be worth considering, & it's not such a jolt to the system as complete caffeine withdrawal!!0 -
Evenin all!
The sesame crackers were quite a success, I'm pleased to sayGreat with cream cheese. I made half the amount and it does spread quite a long way so you may need two trays for the full amount.
Sesame seed crackers
These are so gorgeous, have them with butter, cheese or pat!.
Ingredients:- 100g ground almonds
- 100g sesame seeds
- 50g butter
- 1 egg white
Let them cool on a rack. 0.7g carb
In my search for desserts I have also got a little of the following in the fridge for later.
choc dessert
This the quickest chocolate dessert you'll ever make! And you can experiment in various ways.
Start off with some mascarpone, sweetener and cocoa, as much as you fancy. Make sure the cocoa hasn't got any lumps in it and mix it in with the mascarpone.
This is all you need for a basic very chocolatey dessert. You can serve it with plain mascarpone or cream, and you'll only need a tiny bit as it is very rich.
Now you could add either a bit of brandy or some coffee, or if you added some ground almonds to make a very stiff mix, you could roll it into balls as chocolate truffles, coat in more cocoa.
Both these recipes are from the cake and biscuit diet website, somewhere I love
Have a great evening

thanks ss..i'm dropping it for several reasons, one i keep getting headaches, 2 it's anti carb (!) three i cant drink it without sugar (and no i dont want sweetener instead!) and four it adds to my gut problems...
all round better of without it on a day to day basis i reckon. today was day one and for the first time in weeks i didnt get a headache at all today so i think i might be cured already...:rotfl:Credit Card debt £10247.17 1/1/20200 -
Good morning everyone, day 5 & feeling a bit weary this morning.
I'm supposed to be going to M&S for the Dine in for £10 but, as I'm too tight to pay for parking, it means a 15 minute walk back with maybe 2 deals so 2 heavy bottles of wine to carry!! Actually, having said that, I think maybe I can manage after all!! I know I'm not supposed to have wine BUT it's the weekend so I'm going to & I'll jolly well enjoy it too!!
Anyway, meals for today:
B - 2 egg mushroom & cheese omelette
L - Salad? to be decided
D - M&S meal deal? won't be eating one of their puddings though
Hope I feel a bit more energetic tomorrow.
PS. Read a few more posts last night so I'm up to page 31 now!!0 -

Morning all. Not had the best day yesterday (time of the month  ) and I feel massive.
The scales show the same weight so I know I haven't put on, but I just feel blubbery. Mmm.....wonder if whales ever have that issue??
I haven't cheated but I have eaten more of the allowed things so I expect this week might be a bit of a washout for me. I'm sure next week will be better though.
Years ago I went to a hypnotist to see if he could help me lose weight and he said I needed to focus on a time when I was thin and try to remember what that felt like. Stupid man...that was so long ago how the hell am I meant to remember that?:D
However........I've suddenly remembered how it used to feel to have small boobs. :rotfl: Don't ask me how ...I dont know. All I know is I've been thinking about my small boob days and I want them back. Then I can wear a push up bra and make them look big again. :rotfl:
Anyway...have a good day guys! :beer:Herman - MP for all!0 -
Morning, folks :hello:
aliasojo, I feel huge at the moment too, even though I've been pretty good. I wonder what the scales will show on Monday.
Yesterday:
B: none
L: sausages and mushroomsmoussaka, cabbage, broccoli; strawberries and cream
We booked our summer holiday yesterday! :j:j:jFirst beach holiday we've had for a few years. Can't really afford it, but DDs have badgered us into it as it's the last family holiday before they spread their wings and go off to uni in October. And I'm going to Florence for a few days at the end of April, so I need to save very hard indeed.Want to try to lose another stone before Florence, because I will be eating pizza etc. there. Then I can lose whatever I put on in Florence in time for summer. Not the purist of strategies, I know, but I'm not forgoing proper Italian rocket and gorgonzola pizza... ah, heaven!
Have a good day, all.0 -
ooo you lucky thing HC - did you book Greece in the end? I'm very envious if you did:) And Florence too - I've always wanted to go there.
Hello lovelies :hello:
I'm with you daisy, TGI Friday. Sounds like it's been a wearying week for many us. (((hugs))) to all xx I'm still in sight of the Olympic gold medal for coughing and spluttering:rolleyes: but hopefully after some rest at the weekend i'll be on the mend.
Urrghh still bit iffy about food but:
B - back to usual sausage and flax bread
L - salad with ham and chicken
D - no idea lol:o
Aliasojo - wish I could remember my small boob days lol:o but smaller boobs would be good - cheaper bras for a start! MSE! :money: :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone
Much love,

Saz, we ended up booking Turkey. Been there a few times and so I would have preferred somewhere else. Looked at villas in Malta, Sardinia, the Algarve and the Greek islands but, whereas I preferred the 300-year-old converted farmhouses in beautiful villages, with four 18-year-olds in tow (DDs' boyfriends are coming) I knew that size of pool, number of bathrooms and, most importantly, proximity to all the action had to take priority - and unless you have a massive budget, you can't have everything. It's a lovely villa, though, in a nice area and I'm looking forward to it (even if it means some big economising from now till then). And Florence too - I adore Italy. :j
Hope you feel better soon. (Sounds as though you should have gone sick these last few days.)0
