    Makro, do have some good offers..they send these booklets out every couple of weeks...food and non-food. They've got a website, but you need an account to log in and see all the good stuff.

    We use Makro for buying pet food in bulk. Occasionally have some good offers on but not as frequently as they used to.
    Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

    Nope... can't think of anything. Bargains very few and far between, buy things in bulk that you wouldn't have at the supermarket, then they add the VAT on and the final straw is the pimply teen at the door who checks and stamps your receipt, treating all customers like thieves. Always vow never to return every time I go!

    The checkouts are usually murder. But some things are good value there.

    i was once one of those pimply teens many years ago lol

    makro has its ups and downs but got to agree,mainly downs...

    We go for the bargains - the staff are grunty morons at any age at our local one - must be on minimum wage.

    It is not a pleasure tho and I resent queuing to get out once I have paid to be inspected by someone.

    Costco is the thinking person's Makro and IMHO is much better - especially when it comes to fresh produce.
