Posted previously but think was removed cos info out of date due to train franchise changing.

Secure multi-storey car parking at Luton Parkway railway station (administered by First Capital Connect now, formerly Thameslink). Manned 24 hours, plus CCTV monitoring.

If you pay on arrival (this is vital otherwise you are charged the daily rate of £4.60), you can get a week's parking for £20.70, or a month's for £73. There's an office on the left just inside the entry barrier.

A free regular shuttle bus operates between the railway station and the airport night and day. It takes only 5 minutes for the transfer (plus waiting), as it is much nearer than Airparks, for example. Shuttles half-hourly overnight, and every 25 min during the day.

  • Am looking for a cheap car park deal at Robin Hood airport

Hi I have never parked my car at the airport before and would appreciate some advice. We have always taken a taxi but far too expensive this time. Any tips or discount codes would be greatly appreciated.

I havent a clue where to go - We are going on hols for 2 weeks (how much am I likely to pay)?

    Many thanks

Try using, Egg in the promotion code, this should give you a saving of 15% on the total.

I have found that the absolute rock bottom is to use Purple Parking and pay for it with Tesco Clubcard vouchers, only trouble with this is you need the vouchers and you need at least three weeks notice as you have to get the deals vouchers and then give them 14 days notice before you travel. Last time I did this got about a week at East Midlands for £8 worth of vouchers - usual price £30 which is still quite cheap. Purple are off-site but usually take around five to ten minutes longer than using the onsite long stay carparks and the buses are frequent with helpful bus drivers.
  • i would just like to thank everyone on here for their very helpful advice:

i had a problem looking for parking as im away for 25 nights so all the quotes were very high,

but with the help of the egg promotional code i managed to get over £22 off the price and the car park i wanted.

    thank you!!!

    and enjoy your holidays everyone!!

Males Garage at Manchester are running another two week for one deal https://www.malesgarage.com
Its not mentioned on the website but if you email or phone they will discount
  • We used them as they had been mentioned here. While you may have had great service, ours was unfriendly and we left not feeling particularly confident about them. The "special bus" was an old jalopy which didn't feel particulary safe, and was frankly disgusting.

There were other places which were roughly the same price-wise, I used them because they were mentioned here and because I like to use smaller businesses. I'd never use this company again, they were rude and uncaring. We were reprimanded because we hadn't called her when we touched down, even though her phone had been engaged the whole time :(

My advice is to stay clear.

We've also booked car parking with Parkstansted - does anyone have anything else to add? I don't really want to cancel because we'll be charged, but equally I do want to feel as though our car will be safe while we're away. Would be grateful for some more feedback. Thanks.
