  • Got mine coming next week... Will come in handy for moving house!!

Think the only thing you pay for is a "fuel deposit..."

It says you won't need to pay it if the car is returned with a full tank of fuel:
    7. The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of fuel and it is a requirement of the test drive that it be returned with the same. Failure to do so will result in fuel usage charges being levied against your credit card as outlined in The Avis General Terms and Conditions. For full details please refer to www.renault24td.co.uk

I can't find anything on those T&C's about fuel, i.e. what they'd charge but provided it's returned with a full tank there shouldn't be any probs, nice spot :D

    EDIT - full T&C here: http://www.renault24td.co.uk/assets/AvisTerms.pdf
  • My Laguna is running ok for now! The leather smells fab!
Hate the little icon that tells me when I need to change gear though...
  • All done and dusted!
    It went back filthy too!

I'd be concerned about any over the top excesses or mileage limits. Oh and the hard sell when you take it back, and you saying "I'll think about it".
  • Hard sell...? It came from a rental firm, so no hard selling....
  • And as its a rental car, the mileage has to stay under 16,000 anyway...
  • I have the Pug 207 coming for the day on Monday and a Skoda Roomster for 48 hours next week! Free motoring!

Might get one next time my Indian mate asks me to help out with deliveries on a Sat nite...!

    £40 for 4 hours driving
    As many tips as poss
    Free food
    Free car

So is this the only one that worked as a free rental without hard sell from going down to the local Sdealers? Seems the offer is closed now as no dates are available within the term's specified dates.

I've got the Laguna coming next weekend - even though it's outside the end date of the 15th - I called AVIS to confirm and was told it's all arranged. Give it a try, nothing to lose :D
