Chrimbo Flylady Challenge

Okay all, time to start the pre-christmas clean, ready to clear the decks and stick up the holly :D

Moggins list for the day.

Clear that clutter!

There's so much of it it will probably take me a day to do it.

    Can I join in? :o

I've lost all inclinations towards a clean and tidy home and it would be nice to see one into the new year.

I would like to join too! Have started doing a to-do list daily over the last week and found it really useful, but am guessing putting in on here may get me more motivated to achieve everything.

How does with work then? Do we get a list of jobs/zones listed per day??? or do we make up our own lists???

My mum comes over from Spain on Friday for DD1 4th birthday so want to spruce the house up.

Am currently at work but it is so quiet think I may start on my to-do list.

Oh good thinking, we're clearing the living room today (by we I mean me and occasional help from my son) so we can get the decorations up, but only because I need the space they are in to hide presents!! I also need to give the windows a really good clean so the lights can go up.
One day I might be more organised...........

I accepted LizD's sewing challenge, and if I'm going to be able to report any progress at all I have to try to get a couple of hours in, but I am with you in spirit.
I'd be jolly grateful if, as you whizz round, you would try to guess where I would have stashed the pretty glass tea-light holders I bought for my daughter. For some reason I didn't add them to the Really Sad Person's computer document called Stashed Things.
  • Can I join in?

    My house is a mess.
    So far today I've:

    Put all my clothes away
    tidied my bedroom
stardropped all surfaces in two bedrooms and bathroom
    hoovered my bedroom/landings/DD3's bedroom
    cleaned bathroom floor

    To do today:

study    I got half way through last week and lost the will to live :(

    I don't think I'll get any further.
    de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar ;)
  • ok today on my list from last night is to

    read 10 pages from coursebook
    bake cookies
tidy living room - this one doesnt really work as a job

i think i need to break the living room job up so i have:
    [STRIKE]hoover[/STRIKE]
    dust
    [STRIKE]tidy toys[/STRIKE]
    do paper hotspots

at that point itll be tidy enough to cope with!

I also want to get back on top of the bedtime and morning routines i knicked from flylady as theyve gone out of the window since i was ill last week.

do most of you not do the weekend off then as the site suggests? I cant bring myself to as the house is too much of a mess and dh works weekends anyway so family days go out of the window. Ive only really been vaguely following it for a week or so and im finding the 15 minute timer thing works well as i cant really do much more than that anyway but usually i feel guilty for it. i need to find a timer though as using the cooker is driving me mad!

anyway enough waffle! any hints and tips welcome :D

  • Hello everyone.

I'm definitely ready for jumping back in. After just one week of having the baby being very collicky, the house has gone to pot.

DH has very kindly surface tidied the kitchen this morning. I have done very little so far today apart from turn on the WM with the load i sorted last night.

I plan to give the bathroom a clean, and also tackle some of the ironing mountain. I would really like DH to get the xmas cards out of the loft so i can make a start on them through the week, but he is busy,so i'll have to ask very nicely.

Are we including preparations for the holiday?? It certainly needs doing.

    Michelle, xx

Ah Christmas card, now that's a good one, I have 4 boxes on the bench with them in, going to fill them out tonight and get the boys to do theirs then they can clutter up someone elses house instead of mine :)

I think we can handle preparations too. I just need to focus on clearing out the rubbish (clutter) so I can bring in what I really want.
