Avon mosquito repellant

Options
I've read that you can use the Skin So Soft Woodland Fresh Dry Oil Body Spray as mosquito repellant, but after looking on the Avon website I can see they no longer stock this particular fragrance. Does anyone know if other fragrances are equally effective? Or if the fragrance has been renamed?
I need to know because I'm taking my 22 month old son abroad and the commercial repellants containing DEET (which is the only effective repellant I've ever come across) can't be used on babies.

yes it does work wonders, although i suppose it doesn't work for everyone. But it is only the woodland fresh type. And like Sheel said it has been renamed. But a word of warning this product is very greasy, so when applying only squirt a small amount. And rub in well. This products is excellent for other things, i'll find the list and post it. don't buy it of the web site as avon are trying to get people to do that buy from a rep.
If you don't have a rep you can pm me as i'm a avon rep and i go on the rep forum and i'll get you a rep to call on you. It is usually on offer at around £2 a bottle.

I know I have heard glowing reports about Skin so Soft but it did not work for my wife although Deet did.

I'm just back from Turkey too, Dalyan to be precise on the river bank where i was warned that the mozzies were 'savages'.

I used the SSS dry oil spray in a can and i found it really good, in 1 week i was only bitten 3 times and i think that was because there was one of the little buggers in the bedroom and it attacked us while we were sleeping

I think it is only the Woodland Fresh that works

Today everything in this range is being sold for 3 for £6.00, and I got free p&p too.
  • Wow, what a wonder product! If anyone gets bitten to shreds out of our family, then it's always me... :( Can anyone let me know what kind of scent 'woodland fresh' is before I hunt down a bottle of it myself?
eg. the impression I get from the name is a 'sport' deodorant type fragrance!/ crossed with the cucumber vaseline body lotion...
