Well - I have just been provisionally looking at the My Travel/Thomas Cook flight from MAN - LAS - thinking that the direct nature of the flight may out weigh the cramped conditions.
The date I need to fly - IE Sunday 28 June 09 is the ONLY day that month that the flight actually stops in Glasgow to pick up passengers before heading on to Vegas and, surprise, surprise, my return date 14 days later does the same on the way back!!!
There are no other flights on similar dates that I can do - so thats that one out - price at mo is currently £1,110 and thats with a £320 online discount..... Ouch!!
It may be worthwhile trying www.flythomascook.com as they always seem to be cheaper than the main website.
Also, haven't TC just started a new fleet of planes on this route - extra legroom (compared to what they used to have)/
We're usin them again in March although we have upgraded this time as it was only £140 all in for us both.0 -

cramped conditions? I take it its been a while since you last flew long haul with My travle/TC.0 -
Not that big? You didnt stay there tho. It can be 20 mins from a room to the strip. From the shops on the bottom level it is about a mile from the strip, and as for self parking...forget it.
While it is a big place no way in the world would it take a normal person 20mins to walk from any room to the strip ....and as it for being a mile to the strip from the lower shops, only if you did about three laps of the main casino floor on the way out!0 -

The people also make Vegas amazing. So nice and friendly... It's just an amazing place...
New casino in Huddersfield as well - "Casino Red" ...waiting to hear a few reports on it.
Changing countries I see Foxwoods Casino failed the vote on election day in the USA ...for a casino in Oxford, Maine. would have quite liked a casino just down the road, would would make driving up from portland a mare.
Until recently Foxwoods in Conneticut was/is the largest casino in the world.0 -
MayLooks like Venetian and Palazzo could be in trouble whihc explains why they have been offering what looked liked "too good to be true deals" http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2008/nov/06/las-vegas-sands-may-miss-covenant-requirements/0

I am in the Signature right now, and using the moving walkways, and keeping to the left walking through MGM, past the lion habitat, and out by Rainforest Cafe, I can be on the strip in less than 10 minutes from leaving my room.0 -

Accoring to google Maps its 1/4 mile from the lobby at MGM to the footbridge that goes to NYNYIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
AugustIt DOES take more than 20 mins to walk from the MGM monorail to the strip.
The thing about Vegas is it takes ages to walk anywhere. But 20 mins from a room to the strip - unlikely, possibly in somewhere like Ceasers or walking up from Mandalay. Not from most though.0
