Depends on how many windows and openers you're wanting, as well as quality. Youcould probably bring Anglian down a bit if you barter. My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.0

I wouldn't want to pay much more than £300 a window fitted, if there is nothing fancy about them.
Find a local independent company where the person you're dealing with isn't a salesperson. A small company lives and dies by it's reputation and word of mouth recommendations - they have an interest in getting it right rather than relying on advertising campaigns paid for with your money. I wouldn't use a national plus you can't get a national recommendation because fitting is such an important part and you're never going to get the same people that did the windows of the person recommending.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

if i get a local company in to fit them will the actual windows be of inferior quality of the windows that you will be able to buy from everest or anglian?0
-
Why should they be? The standard of bread from a little bakers shop is no lower than the standard in the supermarket
plus the service is often better. We have Building Regulations which sets the standard.
You want the fitters to be FENSA registered, which shows that they fit windows to building regulations. You will want a FENSA certificate to follow the installation (takes weeks to come through - it's issued by FENSA themselves)Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

zenith is now owned by weatherseal the company went bump a few months ago at least in the lancashire area .as said give the small loacl installer a try we fit windows made from Kommerling profile but would say these are the best although would also rate rehau, profile 22 and veka we would not fit any other than those 4 products considering those the best on the market.if you want to pm me your sizes and some idea of design i could give you a rough estimate .what area are you in this does make a difference alsoif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0

Avoid the National companies - seek out a local DG company. Look in your local newspapers for adverts from local DG companies. If they have showrooms, take your window measurements and ask them to quote you a price."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Avoid the nationals, you are paying for their huge advertising and the commissions that they pay to salesmen. With a local company you will most likely be dealing with the owner, or at least some one who cares. There is no reason to think that they have an inferior product. Probably best to get a recommend from some one who has already been a customer. If they are reputable, they will point you in the direction of recent customers.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
try to keep clear from the nationals, try a small/local company alot of them use really good frames weather it be swish, profille 22, rehau or veka.
you will get a much more personal service & dont be put off by the fact they are a small company... most small companies have better cash flow than the nationals0 -
It would be useful if you told us what area your in? If in Greater Manchester, get yourself along to Alexander windows in Cheadle. They use quality Kommerling Ovalo profile, have a showroom and good quality fitters. They also have offers on at present. I've used them 3 times and have always been very happy with price, quality and installation.0

i paid 6,800 for 4 new pvc doors
2 single windows
3 doubles
3 massive ones..
i got various quotes wasnt the cheapest but having seen samples of each of the windows they were the ones that let in the most light and offered features i looked for.The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.0
