Hello all - this sint a nice post so please do not read if easily upset or anything!
I heard a commotion outside so looked out and across the road there was a dog being attacked by another dog and the owner of the dog being attacked was shouting for help whilst trying to kick and pull the dog off. These people ran out of a nearby house with a bucket of water and what with this and them pulling they got the 2 dogs apart.
The dog that was attacked i think a labrador laid on the floor looking stunned but i dont think seriously hurt as he did get up after a few minutes and was walking about.
Then to my absolute shock the people then turned on the attacker dog with the lady shouting strangle the little **** !!! And they did with a lead or rope or some thing! I went out to my bin and made a lot of noise in hope they would come to their senses and stop. They didnt. When the dog was dead they dragged it up the road to their house and left it outside by a bush.
I phoned the police but they havent came and done anything. They have now wrapped the dog in black sacks and one of them had carried it off somewhere probably to dump.
I feel awful i did not actually go across and stop them but they are a family who are in and out of prison and dont think twice about hurting people and to be honest most people are scared of them. I am such a coward and cant get that poor dog out of my head and cant believe the police didnt bother coming to sort it out!
I also dont think it is even their dog either.
Sorry for the post but feel so sick and sad. Sgould i phone the RSPCA as i dont know their names or anything???

You could do, but without any evidence it would be your word against theirs. Was there anyone else present who will back up your story?0

OMG!  How awful. Do you know who the dog belongs to?Just to win anything would be great!!0

OMG! Whose dog was it that got killed? I take it the labrador was the 'victim' dog and with its owners, but the people who killed the other dog just lived nearby?
That's disgusting. Dogs will fight, especially if it feels threatened, it was probably just lost! Murdering a-holes :mad:0 -
yes ring the rspca now!! You know the address, that is enough. Please let them know you think the family may try and intimidate you too.0

Barstards , they had no need to do that , they could have reported it to the police , It might be an idea to phone the police about the other dog , if you know what it looked like ? an owner may report it missing ??The original janiebaby

It was a lady and a man from the house and the Lab owner who strangled the dog. The 2 men did it whilst the woman shouted at them to strangle the dog.
The lab owner then walk his dog home but was back without the lab 10 - 15 mins later.foreign_correspondent wrote: »yes ring the rspca now!! You know the address, that is enough. Please let them know you think the family may try and intimidate you too.
Thank you i will do. I dont know the house number but will try to get it but their front door is at the side of the house so makes it difficult to subtly get but will do when i collect the kids from school. I hope they do something as it was sickening. I have no idea where the lab owner lives tho and he strangled the dog too. I think he must know the people from the house who came out as he came back 10 / 15 mins later and was talking to them.Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -
omg! did the 2 men even know each other? (oops sorry see you said that)
I could sort of understand it if it was a threat to nearby young children? But jesus, sounds so unnecessary.
What sort of dog was it?0 -
This is sickening.....if they can do that to a dog, god only knows what else they are capable of! I'd be harassing the police (since they haven't done anything yet) and certainly informing the rspca, especially if they have their own animals.
It's disgusting, horrifying and as an animal lover people like that should be tried for murder and locked up for a very long time!
My sympathy lies with the owner of the poor dog and yourself for witnessing such a horrible event.
