Just waiting for the cab to the airport to Manchester, then Virgin Premium to Vegas for our Wedding. Supper excited:j
We are staing intialy at the Excaclibur then moving to Vdara on the Wedding day, we've several things prebooked via groupons so not going to be short of things to do. Slight disapointed thouigh as we had planned thuesday the pre-wedding day as a familiy day with my daughter away from the our friends and part of that was a visit to the Adeventure Dome at Circus Circus but it is closed for maintance :mad:
Ok we can still ride a coaster at New York New York but any suggestions on an alternative to keep a 19 year old amused?
There's an offer on travelzoo for the high roller and Eiffel Tower combined tickets for $25 per person too.
Have a great time.0 -

Well I went to the top of the Strat and looked at the rides - would I ride them - not in a million years not even for a handpay win!0 -
I did all he rides on 2 separate occasions and they are scary....the first time was ok but the second time it was a little windy( not much) but it made the swing ride really fly out and I had an empty seat next to me which seemed to make it worse!!! The little roller coaster one is the worst..you think it's done and it drops suddenly down onto another track....My OH is terrified of heights so he spent the time hugging the back wall and refused to even go to the edge to look over!!0

That was me too:eek::eek::eek:
Worst for me was having a drink in the bar and reading the message not to lean on the glass wall!! like its going to give way :eek:0 -
The weather has been a bit funny here in Vegas! Friday night it rained while we were in Crystals (using a Wolfgang Puck myVegas reward). Limited options of where to go without getting very wet (huge puddles). Opted for the tram to Bellagio, we sat at a slot machine and got drinks really quickly, and then good service continued, it was actually too quick. Headed back quite early once the rain was off.
Yesterday, it rained in the morning, so we waited a while the went to take our car back. Got our first Krispy Kreme of the trip at TI, then walked back via Caesars. Stopped by Fizz to make sure there was no private parties in the evening, and then on to Spago to make sure our Opentable reservation was ok for a myVegas reward. Then walked back and had an hour or so of sun at the pool. Our evening was happy hour appetisers at Stir in Platinum, then on to Spago then fizz. Then walked back.
Looks like nice weather this morning, so we're about to go to the pool.0 -
We've been looking more into the Wolfgang Puck rewards for next trip. How have you found them? Did you need a reservation to use them, or is it ok to just walk up?0

We've made reservations all three times. Summerlin I booked on the phone, a few hours before going, on labor day and it was fine. Cucina was quiet on the Friday night, but we reserved through opentable and that was fine. I put a note on it to say it was myvegas. Their phone line told me to book via the web though. For Spago, I used opentable without trying to call. Decided to stop by and check it was ok in the afternoon (for 7pm). They said it was fine. When we arrived it was busy, so not sure how that would have gone otherwise. It was Saturday night though, and Caesars is a busy place compared to Crystals for Cucina.
Have enjoyed the meals, though I've had pizza margherita at all 3. Pizzas have all been a little different. Cucina was very light on the cheese, which I like anyway. All fresh tasting and nice though. Staff were unattentive at Summerlin. Pricing exactly same at Cucina and Spago, yet the total came out different. Cucina charged us tax on the full amount then deducted $25, Spago deducted it then added tax. Can't both be correct, so who knows which was the right way! Not a huge difference, but strange all the same.
We're getting into our last few days now and have sufficient meal options to last the rest of the trip. Kevin didn't have the points to get many rewards, so I got the 3 WP ones which has worked out well. Better value than a 2/1 buffet I feel. We've only done 2 buffets so far this trip! Red Rock breakfast, Spice Market dinner.
Tonight I think we're doing Spice Market again to use up some social reward points as they'll expire if we don't use them this trip. I have a feeling someone mentioned a way to keep them active, but can't be sure that will work long term, so I think safer to use them than risk losing. If we have time to use them up that is!!0 -
You just need to put one point on your TR card and the points will stay for another 6 months from that date. I used nearly all mine last trip, but Tony has loads left. He just played a bit of VP at Bally's one day, and we checked his account a few days later. His expiry date had moved to mid November.0

I know, but we won't be back within the 6 months, so without some sort of other trickery they'll expire on us. Hopefully you can use yours up before they expire too. Used a chunk last night for Spice Market buffet with drink bump. Spice Market has a reduced buffet just now, due to a water leak. The price is down a bit too. They're not supposed to be accepting coupons, but they did take our destination coupons $5 off after management approval. They're looking to have the coupon taken down from the site though, so if anyone is planning to try to use it best print it asap.
I just noticed on the WP rewards...not sure if it's because I'm looking at different rewards here for locals, but they say only one reward in 30 days. I've used 3. Only one has been redeemed on my account so far though, and it's the second one I used. I'm sure I'd have noticed if I was only allowed one when I was purchasing them. It doesn't say on the reward itself, but then neither does the Mirage buffet reward I have sitting either.0
