I shall keep you all updated with my WestJet experience
Edited to add....
Just seen that you need an eTA (Like a US ESTA) to transit through or travel to Canada. $7 each but there is 'a leniency period until Fall' as long as you have travel docs. I'm travelling via Canada to LV in August so I should be ok without0 -

2 LA Kings pre season games at the new Vegas arena in October in case anyone is interested.
Hopefully a franchise in Vegas for 17/18 - the old LV Wranglers games were fun to go to.0 -
Ferf, hope you had another good trip and that the the slot gods were on your side, any exciting new ones to try?
Did you try any new dining places?0 -
Has anyone tried using this lately? I'm trying to contact M Life (NYNY on 888.468.6958 but it's telling me the number's not valid? I've tried typing it as is (without the dots) and with a 1 in front but it's still not working - am I doing something wrong? Thanks"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

For the sake of £7 and 5 mins on-line I'd probably get one and not have to waste time listening to an immigration officer lecture me on how I should have one and they are doing me a favour letting me in. Immigration can be a PITA at the rest of time - I try not to give them any ammunition.
(I almost booked a Canadian trip for May so needed to give it some thought- and that was what I planned to do - so the comment isn't just theoretical)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

I always forget how to call USA but I think it is 001 (country code) and 702 for las vegas code then the number.
you could try the above without the 888 or search for a number beginning 7020 -

Thank you - I needed the 001! I always forget how it works :rotfl:"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

I've been really remiss in not making any comments about our trip - we came back sick and then back to work and it's all a bit of a blur.
We had a great trip which started out extra special with a visit to the VA Clubhouse courtesy of serenawell - that was so kind and such a great experience.
First stay at Aria was a success - no upgrade, but really liked the property quite a lot.
I had a bit of a run on the slots one day and my biggest win ever ($1k) the following day - so that was pretty great. At one point I declared that I could not go to sleep. As for new machines, nothing really stands out too much. There are a couple new Jurrasic Park machines, one seemed quite fun but I only played it once. A new I Dream Of Jeanie which is very much like Sex and the City with the 4 games - I played that at TI and enjoyed it. New Austin Powers machine was unfriendly to me.
I do get a bit aggravated by the trend towards slots with stacks of symbols and when you get a whole screen or close to the win is nothing exciting, where the line wins are quite small. So much excitement when things land and then disappointment.
They aren't new-new, but hubby and I have each had luck on the slots where there is a progressive game at the top which is like those coin pushers you get in arcades? Where if you trigger the bonus, the coins start pushing and depending on which symbol falls into which slot you may win a nice prize (or a crappy prize). Twice now I have won the top jackpot (first time for $800 something and second time for $650 or so) and hubby has won the top prize once ($550). They can be dangerous, though - as if you walk up and can see that the top prize (a crown) is toward the edge you get sucked into playing and more often than not, it falls into a hole that does no good...but we have been known to keep playing longer than we should to try to trigger the feature.
As for dining - I don't think we tried anywhere new, but we did make a return to Lotus of Siam for wonderful Thai food after our first visit several years ago. I LOVE that place, I really really want to try to work it into our trips more often. Edited to add that when we were first investigating it, we had read to be conservative on their heat scale (1-10) - a 3 was top end for me, I don't do the vindaloo thing, I like spicy but not evil and 3 was enough for me. Hubby is a 1 all the way...just to say to be careful, even if you like spicy food, their scale is a bit steep.
We did see Lord of the Dance (Flatley's last performance, and on St Patrick's Day so that was pretty great), Rod Stewart (really good) and Zumanity (for free, and didn't hate it as much as I expected but it's still bottom of the Cirque list with Zarkana for me).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Thanks for the report ferf, hope you are feeling better now.
Hope we get some of your luck when we go, if we don't then it may be our last trip after a disappointing one last year0
