I don't know if this might help anyone on here but if you're a student with the UniDays app, there's 10% off at Boots online and it also works on the 3 for 2. I've just bought my nephews and step-niece Jack Wills toiletry sets, got my step-niece's set free and got £2.40 off the boys' sets :) doesn't sound much but I'm on benefits and every penny is important!

Am really pleased with that. Have ordered on in store collection, I'm meeting my sister for coffee on Wednesday and there's a largish Boots in the shopping centre where I'm meeting her so I can collect there.
Today I also bought my Dad an Amazon gift card (Clinton's have lots of choice of these, they have packs of 3 which is a good idea if you have more than one to buy. I was able to get a £15 one which is really good as well) and a bottle of perfume for my friend- CkIn2U, £15 at the Fragrance Shop but the Perfume Shop wanted £25! Pays to shop around a little.

So when I go home there's just two bottles of whisky I need to get, then there's just OH's B&Q voucher, a couple of books he wants and his calendar which I will get nearer Christmas. The end is finally in sight! Had an unexpected bonus today, my old bank rang and offered me some compensation for screwing up my account- £100 plus the cost of my phone calls, so £106. That was a godsend to me today and allowed me to treat myself as well as paying for some of my Christmas shopping.

MANDCO, I'm so very sorry about your Dad. My thoughts are with you and may he rest in peace. God bless xx

Hugs to all those in need and warm wishes to all xx

    Deepest condolences Mandco .

Christmas wise we are almost done ,I am hoping to get everything wrapped this week. My food extras consist of nuts , pringles and Pepsi ! I have just the Pepsi to get nearer the time and then a basic shop nearer the time .

Thanks for the thoughts regarding my DD unfortunately she is still having seizures and has again hit her face causing her nose to bleed again ,I have arranged to take her to the hospital tomorrow to have her VNS checked out if that's ok then I will have to push for them to revisit her drugs.

I'm so sorry to read your DD is still having seizures, I hope you get to the bottom of it soon!

Feisty hope your dh is sorted now. its hard enough coping with being pregnant without having added stress. hope you're doing ok.

i'm actually going into a card shop today :O to buy cards:O i just haven't had time to design 4 bday cards for my dd1's 19th bday on friday.. i've done one so will go buy a few others. The amount of orders i have had for my santa and elf footprint stencils has shocked me.. It's not even november yet. Caught me out of the blue and i didn't make a big enough stock buffer. lol

i'm itching to finish off the xmas shopping... next week maybe ... ha!

Morning all :) it was quite foggy this morning and the leaves have almost fallen off the trees now so the weather is starting to feel Christmassy!
Peppa it was me that asked about the Christmas quiz, could you PM me the whole thing please, it sounds really good :D
Irishrose I'd be fuming about 1D, lucky your girls have changed their minds about them now
I feel so busy at work and tired lately but last night I watched the Harry Potter movie channel which put me in a lovely festive mood - not sure why, it must be the magic!
Just checked the Christmas present spreadsheet too and don't have too much to get now which is a nice feeling...I still need to get wrapping paper and actually wrap everything though which is no small task!
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:

Free - They do lovely products. If you look on their website, you can see examples. I first found them when I was looking for fortune cookies for a hen party.
I also like that they do nice individually wrapped advent chocolates.

IrishRose - What a total farce that concert situation was. I think they soon forget what it would have been like for them when they were younger, going to concerts and being fans. Sounds like they need a bit of a reality check.

On the Christmas front, bought some James Bond aftershave on Amazon deals yesterday and am going to buy my sister's family a National Trust membership today.

I have no idea what they are like, but may be ok as a reasonable token gift.

I can't remember who gave details of cheap perfume oils which are endorsed by their fussy son, just want to say a huge thank you! They are fab value for money & can be just chucked in bag not taking up space, ideal for holidays.

So sorry to hear your sad news mandco.
That's terrible irishrose - they don't seem to care about all the fans who spend their hard earned money, they are just greedy.
ChrissyG hope they manage to sort your daughter's seizures out they sound awful with her hurting her face a lot.
That bow is lovely Freespirit - lots of bargains on that website :)
I managed to get a few more presents sorted this weekend, mainly vouchers but they are ticked off the list now. We had the first Christmas card delivered to work today - I know I love Christmas but even I think that's too soon!!
I'm loving this weather- crisp and cold, feels very wintery. I've bought the new Ribena mulled spice drink, no idea what it tastes like yet but it's supposed to be served warm so I'm looking forward to trying it. Was on offer but still £2 so it better be worth it.

    Hi everyone

Hugs to everyone that needs one. Hope everyone's keepin well.

Do rather well on the Christmas front. Picked up parcels front boots, river island, matalan, disney store and m and s. Got quite a bit sorted. Finally made a decision on my wrapping. I really wanted black paper with big red bows like the boxes on black magic chocolates but was having trouble finding paper I like. I've now style on red and white stripey paper like candy canes. With with red oe green bows. Dh thinks I'm nuts but wrapping is my favourite.

Payday this week so I'm going to get the family cards from card factory and order my meat hamper ftom the butchers. I've not got to many presents to get now but the ones I'm left with are dh and my sister who both can't make a decision what they want. I've told them both if they can't think of anything I'll get them a voucher each.

Ellie if you pm me your email address I'll send them to you. It seems like it's ok putting an email address in a pm after all - I've had others with no problem.

Thought you might like to see the end result of our rustic reindeer making afternoon. The biggest one is Woody, the middle sized one is Prancer (that's DGD's one) and the little one was the prototype and is called Wonky. They aren't exactly professional but I think they've turned out ok considering it's all stuff we found on the floor in the woods lol.
