Have been to do another shop this morning and spent a bit more than I'd hoped - had hoped to come in around £20 but actually spent £27.25 so now standing at £118.01/£250. This did include a small sack of potatoes & some washing liquid so not too bad. Still got another 3 weeks to go and if I'm to come in under budget I need to get the spend down a bit more.

I try all sorts of strategies, ie: shopping on line, making meal plans, trying to shop for just the items I run out of, shopping at small independent shops. I try, yes I do try.
It's a slow hard path to follow. if someone started 'Shoppers Anonymous' I'd qualify so I know exactly what you mean when you say 'you're an addictive food shopper'I can relate to the posts above about being a spending addict.
I've decided to stay away from the big supermarkets for the rest of the month, and just zget the odd bit of veg and fruit from the local co@p.
Its nice to know that others understand it.
I have 10 days and £35 left to go. I popped into Morrisons this morning and spent £45, and i am hoping that i wont need to enter another shop until at least the 20th

I usually make beanburgers - just mixed beans & onions blitzed together with some spices like cumin and corriander to spice them up a bit. Make into burgers and then pan fry but make sure they are well sealed before trying to turn them as they break very easily.
There are loads of recipes on line. Jamie Oliver has a recipe online for vegan burgers which might be worth a look.

I'm just keeping hold of receipts this month to set a realistic goal for myself next month, but I'm getting quite alarmed at the pile of receipts building up! I'm waiting til the end of the month to work out the total. I think I might be in for a shock!!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Had a small spend in local Mr S the other day of £16.40 so that's my total up to £122.43 for the month.
I did my weekly online shop today with Mr S (I had a £5 off voucher and they were doing a free Cravendale offer, so I saved £6 in total). So far, looks like it will be about £46 for the week, but we'll find out in about an hour when its due to be delivered.
Its been a bit hectic at work of late so couple that with 6 months pregnany and eating has not always been to plan. All I seem to want to eat is fish/seafood and cake (not together obviously)
How long til pay day?

WantToBeSE and Wannalot Hang on in there - we can beat this addiction. It would be good to hear what strategies others use.
I bet there are lots of people out there who have the same problem. Some will admit to it, others will acknowledge it as a problem, but many will deny it.0 -
Hi guy! Managed a NSD yesterday, however today I was invited to my favourite meat factory. I don't get the chance to go very often as I don't drive. Anyway, stocked up on chicken filets, joints of beef and pork, bacon, steaks, extra lean mince, 30 eggs, fruit, veg and some amazing packs of ribs. Spent a total of £50.55 which I have had to cram into my freezer. Not another thing will fit in there!
I then popped to my local shop for some deli ham and saveloys and spent a total of £3.68p.
A lot of the meat will be coming on holiday with us (fingers crossed for BBQ weather for the end of the month!).
Believe it or not, I still need to do an online shop. I want to the get last of my easter eggs (I have so many nieces and nephews) and lots of my condiments are running low. Also want to get more pop and treats for our holiday. Gonna try and to a low cost online shop and get it delivered Wednesday or Thursday (I get free delivery these days). Hopefully after that I will only need to do top ups for the rest of the month...... Famous last words!!
Right, off to update total before I forget!
