I use soya yoghurts to make an icecream of sorts for DS3 Alpro do a range of different ones.Tesco have a good range of free from stuff which I use sometimes they also do an icecream which is suitable.
Check labels carefully as milk goes under many aliases in the ingredient label..I'll dig out my list for you later..just sneaked on here before I start scrubbing!!:cool:0 -
Thanks for the welcome back, move went pretty well, kids have settled, DS2 at a new school which he seems to prefer, they're trying to chase up his ASD assessment, oh fun all that to go through again...As for flour, quite a lot but several types, plan on trying to use it up over the next couple of weeks. Biscuit maker was on offer in Proffesional Cookworks I think the shop was called, went in for a potato ricer and came out £100 lightler :rotfl: kind of typical when I walk into a shop that does kitchen gadgets...:o
Dinner tonight for us is ....erm, I haven't planned anything, I haven't done a meal plan for this week at all, well actually since we moved in and have flopped off the OS wagon a bit.....off for a rummage. One day I might be more organised...........

OMG How do you cope and get so much done????!!!!! Even when I just had the two kids I never seem to get anything done, my OH was lucky if he got fed and the house looked like a bomb had hit.
Now, I just had my third son four weeks ago and today was the first time I was able to get out of the front door with all 3 of them. Finally got my 4 yr old back to Preschool although he was crying because he didn't want to stay, the 2 year old was crying because he didn't want to leave and the baby was crying because he wanted a feed. Although I desperately wanted to have 3 children, it's not going to be all fun and laughter, is it??!!!!
I think your amazing D&DD, you're a total inspiration. Your thread's keeping the smile on my face at the moment.0 -

DAY 24 Update...
Evening everyoneHad trouble wrestling the computer off The Ebay King aka OH :rotfl: Just taken him 3 hrs to list 3 items  I am not saying a word....
Been decluttering today as well as cleaning the dustmen don't come again til Monday and our bin's nearly full already!!
Will post the recipe for the Gardeners Chicken tomorrow as its handy for a 'use up the veggies dish'
Today we had toast/wheatabix for brekkie again, this is quite usual during the week or else I'd never get them all off to school!
Pack ups today were cheese, lettuce and saladcream (no cucumber left..)
Dinner was shepherds pie for the boys AND DS3 ATE IT :T :T :T ..Had to spoonfeed him and cover it in heinz organic tomato sauce but it still went down the hatch
Me and OH polished off the rest of the Gchicken from yesterday with the remains of MRSC's bread..yes it went that fast
Sammy will dig out that stuff for you tomorrow been searching through my [strike]files[/strike] heaps of white paper for one single sheet all night for Scouts tomorrow...Hope you've had a good day
Lil_me are you still making your lists???? I am banned from actually entering any shop if it contains gadgets by order of OH..*don't tell him about lakelands etc online*...0 -
Hi Tibbie's mum aw sounds pretty much like me when the boys were young!Good news is it gets easier..when I had my first everything was still reasonably sane,by the time I had my second it was getting a bit hectic and when I had my third I made sure I put the washing machine on before I left home and hung it out 4 hours later when we returned +1 :rotfl:
Now I tend to thrive on chaos..with a houseful of men I really have no choice! You'll be fine the hardest bit like you say is figuring out where to put them all when you go out!I took the cowards way out and had a 4'ish year gap between all of mine
Hi MrsDavelovely to see you did you have a good holiday??Spill the beans did you go somewhere nice and exotic??
I have to do a swoop on Sainsburys tomorrow for Strawberries, milk and ham.Boys are happy with HM bread for toast so that'll save a few pennies:D
Need to make something either Vegetarian or Pulsey tomorrow that the boys will eat *thinking cap on*....0 -
how about spicy lentil soup (or just plain lentil soup if they don't like spicy!!) can be served with toasted sandwiches (take your pick of fillings) made from home-made bread, super cheap and super tasty!Happiness is not getting what you want - it's wanting what you have
(I can't remember the originator!)0 -
Lists are what I do best. I have lists of lists I need to make. I like lists. I did a 'must have' and 'would like' list. Then got them mixed up, bought the 'would likes' and then had to buy the 'must have' stuff aswell.
ok bad excuse.
Right well last nights dinner was toad in the hole, had to go to take DP somewhere so decided to try the butchers there for some things, had an offer on of 5kg of frozen lean steak mince for £6 so I got one of those and some other things, inc the sausages I did for dinner. If I manage to run down the bread in the freezer I will get some more of that mince as it's a good price and we use a lot, well 3 of us do. It means defrosting it then cooking it off & making into portions, but at that price I don't mind at all, stock from a catering order he said was cancelled. Got a few other things I needed like sugar. Will need milk later in the week and more fruit, think that should be about all really apart from pet foods which I include in my GC target.
Cooked off some extra spuds and carrots which were starting to 'bend' and have frozen those for another day, my OS ways must be gradually creeping back as I also filled the part full oven with baking spuds to cook, cool and freeze instead of wasting oven space.
Great news with getting your DS to have the shepherds pie, my oldest wouldn't even touch it, refuses mince in any sauce/gravy and mashed potato he screams at.
Tonight was pizzas and garlic bread, I'm pondering over what I should cook tomorrow, I've booked myself in at the hairdressers straight after dropping DS2 at school (something which has been neglected is my hair and I am starting to look like cousin it!) so might throw something in the SC before I go, maybe a steak stew....I must try to do some sort of meal plan now I have most of the meat in....should do it now really.
Oh another thing I have really worked on is portion sizes, I bought smaller plates when we moved which helps, I've been thinking about how much I cook more. Waste has reduced loads (which the dogs are a bit upset about!) and we don't feel 'overfull' anymore. As an example I had a tub in freezer labelled 'Lasange 1' which mean't before one portion. Well with a few potato wedges and some veg it served 2 no problem. Might help with the weight loss aswell as the spending! One day I might be more organised...........
