mmmmm I would like it to go to the Emergency Fund ... it'll be at £100 when I'm paid in December.
I'm paying £25 / month to it just now so if I did that for 2013 + the £150 cashback, that would let me reach my £500 target providing nothing breaks down & needs replacing of course :eek:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Have just depressed myself a bit .....
DF had bought DM a new watch .... anyway we started talking about them and they both had a moan at me (again!) for not wearing one (I have a really good sense of time and am never more than 10 mins out!)
I can find it difficult to find ones to use as can't have the watch back against my skin so it has to be one that has a strap under the face IYKWIM.
Years ago (when I was still errrrrr shall we say in the "handbag era" and buying things I shouldn't) I treated myself to a rather gorgeous Foss*il watch (have a thing about their handbags too as some of you may know
).
It was gorgeous *sigh* (and expensive) and really should've done me many years - which it did but.....
I used to take it off when I got home and put it on the kitchen worktop ... put it back on next morning.
One morning, it wasn't there  - assumed one of the 4-legged people had knocked it off and I'd find it ... nope!
Over the years, I've thought it may be under the fridge / freezer or washing machine but these both now been replaced & it's not turned up.
DM suggested looking under my kitchen units (one of the fronts is loose for the F/F plug to go into the socket and it does fall open sometimes) .... just done it and *sigh* no sign .....
It was lovely ..... kind of a mix between:
This one for style (but it was red)

and this one as it had the most fantastic flower animation that it did- which I'd totally forgotten about until I saw this watch

It's really annoying me (and has done so for around 4 years since I lost it) as it has to be somewhere ......:(Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

ARRRRGGGHHHHHH
I could cry .... seriously
I have big shallow basket things on the unit shelf above my fridge / freezer (so really high & quite difficult to reach / lift off) that I keep things like packets of savoury rice etc in ...... andmy iron also sits on the shelf.
Can you see where this is going?
Lifted one of the baskets down and the iron fell of the shelf  and made the most sickening smashing sounds as it landed on the tiled floor ...... closer inspection and the whole of the bottom's smashed
I really didn't need to have to buy a new iron  - it worked perfectly fine (well ..... it did have a hiccup the other week but worked last time:o) and I could do without spending money on one at this time of year.
Darn it  - really annoyed with myself
Off to look in Ar*gos & Co*met (argh - wonder if that's still open at the Fort?) as would need to be somewhere at the Fort as I'll be going past on Fri on my way to / from the hospital. Think there may be a Curr*ys tooGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Have found one that's not going to totally break the bank ..... remembered DM had to get a new iron a couple of months ago so phoned her to see what she got & if she likes it (it's a yes).
Found the same model (£29.99 @ Ar*gos / £25 @ Ama*zon) on offer @ Mr T Direct for £22.97 - just shows how much prices vary & you always need to shop around
Have £3 c/card points coupon (wish it'd been £5 to double up but never mind!) so that'll bring it down to £19.97 ...... which I guess isn't too bad.
There's a store at the Fort so will reserve to collect on Friday:) and just have to be wrinkly until then :rotfl:
I hate spending money on things like this ...... and typically just happened after I'd bought the storage trolley!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Ohhhh meant to post about this earlier but was distracted by the iron!
Phoned my bank earlier (still absolutely hate doing this and get myself all in a knot before dialling) - anyway, phoned to close the monthly saver account that's now finished & move the funds to my main account (so I can transfer to the new ISA) and set up a new one.
So ... got everything sorted and then .... "I notice you're using quite a lot of your OD on your main account at the moment" .... heart sinks ...... "just to let you know that you're sitting with a pre-approved loan so if ..."
Politely declined - mainly as a) done consolidation (many times) b) the amount does vary so seems drastic to take a loan c) don't want a loan appearing on my credit report.
But ... they're still trying to fling money at meGrocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
