Was having one of my "exhaustion" moments and thought I'd have a quick seat on the sofa and ......

It's kind of put paid to tonights dinner which was going to be roast chicken as a bit late to put it in now (will take just under 2 hrs) - will have it tomorrow instead & hunt the (overflowing) freezers for something to do tonight instead.

Totally shattered - that'll be driving to the OH appt this morning & going to Al*di :o

  • Things to do .....

So ... was thinking I need to try to find some small things to do to try to build myself up - nothing too energetic (no energy :o) or tiring, just wee things around that house that maybe take an hour or so, can be picked up / left easily etc.

    First one .... receipts!

With the help of slowlyfading and beanielou, decided that it's OK to get rid of some of my older receipts - I have a drawer full dating back to around 2004 (all neatly sorted by date):o

I did wonder if I should look through them (guarantees etc) but if I buy something that has one, this is stapled to the instruction book and filed in a separate folder:o (great for finding then if needed) - so .... *gulp* .... think I'm going to throw them straight out without checking them .

So ... that's the first one - and it'll on the "to do" list for tomorrow :T

There's probably loads of wee things like that if I think about it as I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to things:o. There's folders up the loft with things like gas & elec bills in for years & years back ... sure some of those could go too!

They certainly can! I have our bank statements back til January 2010, and the rest I shredded a while ago. I think we can get so much paper and stuff that it can be really dangerous to keep everything :o

Seriously though, I only shredded stuff from uni last month, and I left in 2008 :o  and it was really silly things, that I definitely didn't need to keep!

Well done rising in getting the iron and getting rid of the receipts, was going to suggest a shop at MacArthur glen ( I got a great iron from there) but its ok now as you've got it fixed :), be careful out at the fort though, I find that place freezing

Good luck at the hospital as well, are you just going for a check up ?

It was part of the deal when I took the contract out (online through a huge mobile provider).

It was last day of a month & they obviously needed to sell x amount to reach a target;)

    Contract with t*mobile is £21 / month, so over the 24 months = £504 but I get 6 x £50 cashback vouchers (from company that I bought the phone through) = £300 :)

That brings the overall cost of mobile contract to £204 which equates to a much more reasonable £8.50 / month!:T

I certainly wouldn't have paid £21/month with no incentive  - I've left the £21 on my SOA as I pay this d/debit from my account and the intention was for the cashback to go to savings.....

Fantastic , I'm £35 a month, I did get - deal when I bought it but nothing like yours :)

I've only been to MacArthur Glen once :o and it was years ago ..... I did try to go again but got lost :o:o (I hate that road!).

Must put that on the 2013 to do list!

Unfortunately Friday is my next Infusion :( (if it goes ahead - expecting a similar palava to the last time) - they're OK I guess but I find it a bit surreal / scarey sitting in a room with a load of strangers with drips feeding drugs into us :o with nurses standing round checking no-one's having a "wobbly" (which does happen!).

It takes a good couple of hours (and I'm not good at sitting still for any length of time;)) and you then have to sit for another hour after that (to make sure you're OK). It makes me feel really tired for days afterwards....... not sure it's even doing anything TBH but I know people who've had it done who say they've not noticed any difference until after the 3rd one (which this will be) so fingers crossed.

Believe it or not, I've then got to go back on Monday to finally see my Consultant (which should've been during w/c 26 Nov) ..... and certainly before the infusion happens:mad:
