Ok, today i must sort out all the paperwork for dro. I should have already done this. Which means getting off tinternet. I should also start sorting my mileage claim. I should also ring ta to see what is happening regarding my tax rebate. P60's starting to arrive, now. I should also send my letter regarding court claim. I still can't face all that. Mustn't forget i have gp appts as my sick note is due to expire. I can't even remember when the appts are. Return to work? What with? Sometimes you just want to give up.

Looking at that. Has all that time really passed. Where has it gone? What has been achieved? How has my life changed? Of course, that sounds disrespectful. But it's still my life.

Can you summon up the energy to contact your local M.P.'s constituency office & demand help/action?
This is just beyond dire now.

Morning all... or is it afternoon? Urgh... revenge of the hayfever pill today, I feel less than with it.

    So, nothing new here. :D

Ani, how are you doing on the paperwork? After sorting loads (it felt like loads) of change of addresses for Mum the other day, a new bundle come through. I know it isn't urgent (she left there ages ago) but it would be so nice to know I had them all done and dusted. So in my small way I am sympathising... want to swap piles of paper? Addresses are easier - but my attempts at sorting mileage might give the recipient a laugh.

I think you need a list (gasp!). One of those nice ones with important sorted from urgent (I never got the hang of that).

    1. Doctor's appt.
    2. Cup of tea.
    3. Ring TA (Territorial Army are very efficient so this should be over quickly).
    4. Put kettle on.
5.Go back on Tinternet in case you missed something on the Forums.
    6. Make tea.
    7. Sort one mileage claim.
    8. Check Tinternet again.
    9. Another mileage claim.
    10. Check list to make sure you haven't missed tea.
    11. Consult with friends on Tinternet.
    12. Go for a walk.

Just had one of those conversations with sw, saying how things will be sorted. At what cost?

Sorry. Will post later. Not up to it right now.

How about if someone else contacted your MP?

A conversation with sw, hey? Sending virtual chocolate cake and Earl Grey to cheer you up. Also ginger biscuits of course. :D

I've been thinking about the gas bill - we don't have gas so I wouldn't know but people were saying it seemed high, which doesn't tie in with your usage. One option (mentioned before) might be that they're basing the bill on a previous person's usage.

I've just found this - what it says is that if you have an Imperial meter, which you can work out from what's written on it, a unit of gas is different from a unit on a metric meter.

Apparently they sometimes get the two muddled up. If that were the case then it might just account for your bill? Be an angel and have a look when you've got a minute. :) If your meter is metric I'll go and have a look for other possible causes.

(Darn it, wish my Dad was still with us - he worked for the Gas Board and was very handy with these things).
