I feel very tearful, and my life has just changed minutely, in the last half hour. Also received a phone call saying my credit report is finally on its way, and hoping they will accept MY valuation of the car. Yep, I drive it, I know what is wrong with it, ( nothing illegal.) Its just suffering the effects of time, ( like me.)

I got some teabags :rotfl:though i have to say, i've never bought posh teabags. Never :rotfl:

    Eeeee you've got to laugh

Plus the *** did actually return my call. Its all down to the question of ani's value now, although it's just dawned on me i have to find £90 i think it is, for the dro. Cheap at half the price but?

I now have to seriously take a day out tomorrow to get all these bits of paper in order, once again, as i'm likey to have to attend an appointment at short notice, possibly friday if the cr arrives tomorrow. Gosh, father xmas is getting busy around here.

So let's see if I've got this right - Ani needs to be valued low enough for you to be able to go ahead with the dro? If the value's too high you won't be eligible and therefore will have to pay back all the outstanding stuff?

It seems crazy and wrong that they are talking about you having to get rid of phone, broadband and TV. The basic things that banks get you to fill in about managing money seem to allow for these. I've lost track of whether your phone is a landline or mobile - I'm not being nosey (for once) but I seem to remember your SOA was different from what I'd expected. To be totally without a phone, though? How can they justify that? What if you were ill or something? And basic TV isn't so much a luxury - a daily paper can be more expensive.

Round here the mobile library has internet but I know not all areas do... do we start training carrier pigeons?

Incidentally someone was talking about car prices tonight. I know nowt about them so I was quiet but one of the people is someone who does up cars to sell, and he was saying how these places like 'We buy any car' give a low price because when they sell it on they have to make a profit. I had a look at their web site but they have a valuation fee from what I can make out, but it did make sense that you would get a lower valuation from someone who wanted to make a subsequent profit.

Evening/Morning...or whatever time it is...insomnia is back and just won`t let me sleep without a pill but I`m so stubborn I won`t take them...:o

Anyhow I reckon you should be OK on the car value for your DRO ...car values are falling so check out ebay/pistonheads for whats recently sold which will give an indication.

On the phone/internet/mobile I think it is reasonable to push hard to keep these wherever you can as eventually you will need them for when you are ready to return to work...and are essential `tools of the trade` for you. I remember my OR allowing them as essentials in my SOA on that basis.

:T:T:Twoohoo on the posh teabags !! Tea party round at ani`s then...:A

Yes, that's right, but it sounds terrible paying back all the outstanding "stuff ", doesn't it? Debt. However, i still have to repay the rent arrears, which doesn't go into the dro. Who knows how long that will take? I wouldn't have the rent arrears if i received full hb.

Thats the *** advisor who has told me to get rid. Of course they are right, but i'd fogotten about contract charges, which means i can't, basically.

Tinternet has pretty much become my life saver right now, hasn't it?

I believe they use Parkers for their guide. I can't get a quote for ani in their free quotations. Have to take the Premium service which you have to pay for, ( probably because its an older car.) Officialdom and all that.

    Pray?

Tbh there's such variation in valuation. A car is only worth what an individual is willing to pay for it.

Its not so much a question of pushing to keep them, it's having the money to pay the bills, sadly :(

I'll never return to my job without them for sure.

Do i just give up and return to work? Or give up completely
