  • Back from my lovely night at the spa - even though we'd paid for the actual thing it advance it still ended up being expensive with train fares/taxis and drinks (non-alcoholic ones at that!!) so I'm not too pleased with that this weekend!

Need to check my bank and see how much money I've got for food for this week - we only need enough to last until Friday when it's payday - thank GOD!! Very jealous of the people who have had their January wages already! :P
  • Hi all I am still here not been able to post as busy with work and other things, no more payments made as yet but am trying to save the pennies as OH's birthday and its a special one,

I have tried to keep up with the board which moves so fast, unfortunately this site is blocked at work so can't catch up at lunch.

Any one thinking of joining should so as even reading others stories helps x:money:

PS Kerry finally got round to filling in the forms for reclaiming PPI hopefully some extra coming back fingers crossed.

Well I've done just that - although only 4 days worth as I'll be doing a big shop on Friday! :rotfl: So for the next four days we will be eating:

Butternut squash soup with wholemeal sub rolls
    Lasagna
Lime & black pepper sole goujons with chips & beans
    Chicken stroganoff and rice

    Om nom nom :D
  • Yup, mealplanned and shopped here until Saturday. We are having:
    shepherds pie
chicken and veg curry and rice
    chicken hotpot
    fish pie
    pasta bake
fish and chips (my Dad's treat)

and lunch is from huge vat of veg and lentil soup I made earlier from bits out of the fridge and cupboards.

Not particularly gourmet, but cheap and filling and low WW pointed!

Hey Kerri, you'd be really proud of me... I've just been to Tesc0 and bought their entire stock of Blue Drag0n Chow Mein sachets as I eat them all the time with stir fry veggies for a quick low calorie meal and they are half price until tomorrow! I then got the entire supply of Belviita breakfast biscuits too as they were all half price until tomorrow so my stock pile is not HUGE!!! Also got bread reduced and a few healthy snacks on offer. Oh and my hair dye was reduced (I'm brunette so don't see the point in paying my hairdresser to do it when I can for 1/8th of the price!). Only things full price were my dads ibuprofen at 28p and a large roast chicken for sandwiches for my lunch this week! Oh and I've already stockpiled about 12 fajita meal kits from Tesc0s that were reduced to £1...

Sounds suspiciously like the Duke of Wellington carvery... No but very similar, we had a day out at Colne's Langroyd Hall - my dad was actually born there, was ahospital back then though.

Oh except for this (sorry to use the word but) "BEER FAT" guy with a bald patch, over by the door. I couldn't believe it when my friend said who it was... He was the popular lad at sixth form, sporty, arrogant, complete c0ckwomble who, along with 8 others, made my life a complete and utter misery for 2 years (had 45% attendance because of them). My how the tables had turned. I was SMUG!!!!!!! It's a fab feeling though, definitely karma ;)

p.s. I keep thinking about all the people that joined up and we've not heard from again. They all had their stories of how debt was ruining their lives and I can't help wondering if they're ok and how they are doing... I hope they're ok :A
Maybe they're too busy debtbusting to pop on and some people can only debtbust on payday too :o

Just dragged DH to the Rainge, said I'd only be 5 mins so left him sat in the car listening to the footy. Half an hour and £15 later...:p

Kerri - love the challenge. I used to do this all the time and I still do to some extent but it's more vague these days :D. When Mr S delivers tomorrow night will write a specific menu:)

My car has to go into the garage tomorrow, misfiring (or whatever!) my dad said!

    Wish her luck :(
    In debt no more!
  • This week's challenge meal plan for me:
Lunches - mainly sandwiches, except for weekend - pasties; Covent Garden Tomato and Basil Soup (special offer 99p Lidl) and baguettes
Dinners - paella (Birds Eye king prawns special offer £1 Sainsburys); beef dinner; sweet and sour chicken; fishcakes/hash browns/peas/sweetcorn; jacket potatoes/tuna/cheese/salad; pasta/ham/tomato & herb sauce; prawn curry (us)/pizza (DSs).

I like the idea of posting these meal plans so I can 'steal' others' ideas as I struggle sometimes to keep the meals interesting!
