Morning all!
Welcome on board shazzyl and jellyjacks:wave:
Had quite a MSE weekend so far. We all went out for dad's 65th yesterday to a £3.89 carvery lunch. Dad insisted on paying (we've long stopped arguing with dad about paying our way when in public, it only leads to get told off like little kids:p) We didn't drink either, DH is getting very competitive about our weight loss challenge - he was feeling confident this week til he noticed I'm looking more slender despite not having done much exercise this week
Today, I'm buying a new wok, dunno how mine's got rusty! Using voucher from consumer pulse and nectarpoints so it will be "free".
As the weather is grey again today (can't believe you went out yesterday for a walk Jemma:eek:) I'm going to spend the afternoon making some cards whilst DH watches the footy.
Rosiest - did you ever find the answer to your question?
Sounds like a lot of you are fleabaying today, hope you get lots of bids. Keep debtbusting xxx0 -
Morning all, looks like some people are up early and making the most of their Sunday, well done on the shop Ostrich I think I might follow in your footsteps this week and set a budget.
Well I have cleared the garage out yesterday and did a good tip run with the help of dad's van. We found an old spinning bike and a old wooden box with some photography thing in from 1940's so will be seeing if its worth anything, I love fleebay.
Awww Jemma I can't wait to see the relationship develop between you and Pedro :-)I will stop spending on things I don't need

Sounds suspiciously like the Duke of Wellington carvery...
Can you believe I'm actually thinking of going out for another walk today?! I need to burn off the lovely food I had last night (and the 2 halves of Carlsberg...), made sensible choices though until my friend ordered some onion rings to share!
It was a lovely night out with my best friend as we went for some food then over to her sisters for her surprise 30th then to the pub to watch a live band. There were these 2 blokes who looked like they never left the gym, completely beefed up, tanned, tattoos and obviously loved themselves! They kept looking over at us and we just kept laughing cos they looked so ridiculous in their skin tight see through t-shirts and designer stubble. Honestly they looked pathetic! Sort of like the male version of a wag where everything is fake. The band was a bunch of old rockers who couldn't play in time together so their rendition of "Sweet Home Alabama" completely killed it.
Oh and apart from the two "I love myself" boys then we were the youngest in there by a considerable gap. Oh except for this (sorry to use the word but) "BEER FAT" guy with a bald patch, over by the door. I couldn't believe it when my friend said who it was... He was the popular lad at sixth form, sporty, arrogant, complete c0ckwomble who, along with 8 others, made my life a complete and utter misery for 2 years (had 45% attendance because of them). My how the tables had turned. I was SMUG!!!!!!! I really wanted to just go up to him and LAUGH at the state of him when he'd been so bloomin horrible all those years ago. Karma - love it!!! It's amazing what you hold on to without knowing it but I felt a huge weight lifted from me like I'd finally let go of that person who they made me feel all those years ago. I really want to go shopping and get some lovely clothes and knee high boots and a new handbag... It's my birthday soon so I think I'll wait and let my family pay for them so it doesn't detract from my debt-busting...
Anyway, I guess I'd better get up and do something constructive today then I'm out for tea again tonight with another friend so no NSD again today... xxx
p.s. I keep thinking about all the people that joined up and we've not heard from again. They all had their stories of how debt was ruining their lives and I can't help wondering if they're ok and how they are doing... I hope they're ok :ANew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

No debt busting for me since the start of the month as I'm worried about how long it will take one of my jobs to pay me.. I think they might be going under so wanted to keep all the pennies I have earned for the rent. Just in case. On the plus side my Mum got my car insurance down by a fortune and I don't pay council tax for the next two months so hoping I might be able to pay off the CC with all the money saved!Debt Free by Christmas 2012 #205 DONE!£2012 in 2012 #128 £1900/£2012£2 Saver 2012 #78 £0/MOT0
