Hey Elsie....I've been reading your Diary with great interest...I LOVE your organisation and i hope you don't mind but i've nicked some of your style for my Diary....hope thats ok but i was just so impressed by this diary

I also wanted say, don't give up on this Guy you've started seeing....grab happiness when you've found it...thats what i've learned in my Life...
Hope that doesn't sound like i'm lecturing you...
I'll keep reading your Diary with interest, i have subscribed :cool:0 -
Hi everyone! :hello:
Ooo I feel all popular!!! _party_
rdchick - hope you have a fantastic weekend with him whether or not he proposes...although of course would be great if he did!!! EEEEEKKKK!!!!!
xxxxxxx
beccie - ok...I'm over it!!! :rotfl: xxx
DreamerHelen - Steal away if it works for you!!! and not a lecture, it's too soon to say if I've "found happiness" but I'm certainly not giving up on him! I'm looking forward to the next time I see him properly out of work! :A x
Sooooo, long week again, obviously a fail on the weight loss, but I know I didn't try so I'm not surprised! I now have an inhalator to help me quit smoking and it don't half work!!! Blimey, it's stronger than the cigs!!! :rotfl: And I'm going out with "A" again on Wednesday after work, just for a drink I think (and hope due to my ma-hoo-sive overspending this week!), so we'll see how that goes. Am working tomorrow but unfortunately don't get overtime, just a day in lieu, still, it all works out...kinda... I don't mind on this one really actually as I really need to catch up and weekends are good as you don't get the interruptions from the users. PLus I'll get to stare at "A" across the room as they're on the floor above but as I'm the only one on the ground floor coming in then I'll sit up with them (I use a laptop anyway so no biggie)
have a great week everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I record this slightly differently, but it gives the same result.
I decided to post this now as when I actually do get to move out, probably in a year, it will be interesting to see how I've altered the planned one, and also what the real costs will be.
Planned SOA for when I move:
Statement of Affairs and Personal Balance Sheet
Household Information
Number of adults in household........... 1
Number of children in household......... 0
Number of cars owned.................... 1
Monthly Income Details
Monthly income after tax................ 1618.69
Partners monthly income after tax....... 0
Benefits................................ 0
Other income............................ 0
Total monthly income.................... 1618.69 this is my current income so may change slightly (hopefully!)
Monthly Expense Details
Mortgage................................ 0
Secured/HP loan repayments.............. 0
Rent.................................... 550 I am NOT going to get what I want for this money, ideally I should be spending £650. However, even this is pushing it really, so I'll have to put up with either a nice small place, or a slightly larger shithole!
Management charge (leasehold property).. 0 hope not!
Council tax............................. 100 slightly over-estimating this as I'll be eligible for single occupier 25% discount - obviously will vary depending on the property I get for my money - hopefully will be more like £80-£90
Electricity............................. 30 guess based on my old flat
Gas..................................... 30 guess based on nothing as I've never had gas before (hahaha)
Oil..................................... 0
Water rates............................. 50 over-estimating guess, chance it might be on a water meter which I've never had before, so will have to budget carefully here. My old flat got up to £31 a month for water and sewerage by the time I moved out in March 2010, so I'd hope it's more like that!
Telephone (land line)................... 10 I will do my O2 deal for this
Mobile phone............................ 30 My contract is actually £25 but I always allow £30 as the bill doesn't come till the 14th. Then if I have an extra fiver (which I generally do as I'm VERY careful on usage) it's a bonus
TV Licence.............................. 25 first 6 months then drop to £15
Satellite/Cable TV...................... 0 I'd love to have Sky again but simply cannot justify it on this budget
Internet Services....................... 12 Again, O2 do a very good deal which will be just right for me and my low-ish usage (I only browse really, don't download films or music which is what pushes charges up)
Groceries etc. ......................... 190 this is actually 2 budgets combined - £150 for food and cleaning and £40 for make up and toiletries. This is what I currently spend and have enough trouble sticking to that!
Clothing................................ 22 this is an allowance as currently I don't budget for this and my holey shoes are testament to that (I kid you not)
Petrol/diesel........................... 145 guess based on ideal location. I hope it will be less. still less than current though!
Road tax................................ 13 drops to £12 from 1 Dec 12 (I like to plan ahead!!!)
Car Insurance........................... 41 current cost - this includes EVERYTHING - breakdown cover, 5 years no claims discount protection, courtesy car etc
Car maintenance (including MOT)......... 30 based on cost of (per year) 1x MOT, 1x service and 4x tyres. Car getting older now so don't want to underestimate here!
Car parking............................. 0
Other travel............................ 0
Childcare/nursery....................... 0
Other child related expenses............ 0
Medical (prescriptions, dentist etc).... 5 I'm exempt from prescriptions due to under active thyroid, however this is a fiver a month for the dentist, need to get back into going twice a year for checkups!!!
Pet insurance/vet bills................. 0
Buildings insurance..................... 0
Contents insurance...................... 0
Life assurance ......................... 0
Other insurance......................... 0
Presents (birthday, christmas etc)...... 54 this is £34 a month for Christmas as a whole including presents, and £20 a month for other presents like birthdays
Haircuts................................ 25 alternate £40 and £10 every 5 weeks so this is based on a made-up 60 week year, at £50 every 10 weeks, so £300 a year, thus £25 a month. I'm not sacrificing this, I'm paying less than half what I would at a salon
Entertainment........................... 145 don't want to budget this much, but I'd rather put it in and reduce it, than not have enough and ruin the rest of my budget. Loosely based on £30 a week with a bit of surplus
Holiday................................. 0 no-one to go with!
Emergency fund.......................... 30 I always budget this, but realistically, I use it every month
Balance to Cash ISA..................... 7.21 All spare change goes to ISA
Pound a Day (365) Savings............... 31 Random savings
Graze (2 boxes a month)................. 5.98 nice to have, could always cancel but it's only one every two weeks, hardly excessive!
Tesco DVD Rental (4 DVDs for month)..... 7.5 this makes up for no Sky... I'm lying, you can't compare, but still, it's a cheaper treat
Wine for at home (6 bottles for month).. 30 cheaper than buying on spur of the moment and since social life mainly consists of going to friends houses and having wine, I justify this.
Total monthly expenses.................. 1618.69
Assets
Cash.................................... 0
House value (Gross)..................... 0
Shares and bonds........................ 0
Car(s).................................. 3500 I checked 2 websites to get a rough value - 56 plate (2007) Vauxhall Corsa 1.4L Club - I own this outright
Other assets............................ 0
Total Assets............................ 3500
No Secured nor Hire Purchase Debts
Unsecured Debts
Description....................Debt......Monthly...APR
Total unsecured debts..........0.........0.........- When I move out I won't have debts
Monthly Budget Summary
Total monthly income.................... 1,618.69
Expenses (including HP & secured debts). 1,618.69
Available for debt repayments........... 0
Monthly UNsecured debt repayments....... 0
Amount left after debt repayments....... 0
Personal Balance Sheet Summary
Total assets (things you own)........... 3,500
Total HP & Secured debt................. -0
Total Unsecured debt.................... -0
Net Assets.............................. 3,500
