Get me a ticket comps?
I've been a member for two years now, now I'm not complaining about not winning anything, but when the winner is announced via email it gets a little ridiculous; First it tell you the competition that you entered then it says the winner ....normally not me, but then another email comes through announcing the winner to another competition....and lone behold - it's the same name that was mentioned in the previous "Hayley ******"
Is this a glitch, a con, or is this lucky person winning 3 competitions at once?
best to read the comping guide here..

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.
2minutedraw
4FreeUK
ABCWins
ActiveYou
Clash Club/Clash media
Club La Costa
Consumer Lifestyles
Consumer Opinions
Craftomatic Beds (Comps appear to be just a way to get a salesman into your home, especially if vulnerable/alone)
Emailinform
EZ Prize Giveaway
Fair Exchange
FindAPrize (questions raised if prizes awarded, slight spam, non existant company address, dodgy? Info here & here)
GetMeATicket
GetYourBillsPaid
GreatUKsurveys
Guide2Win
InstantPrizeDraw
Just-Rewards
Lingscars
MyConsumer
MyFamilyUK
MyOffers
NoizeMakesEnemies (Care - your profile with name, address, phone number & email appear to be on show with no way to make it private!!)
Nuts (comps.nuts.co.uk - comps are now run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd.)
OffersClick
OfferX
Opinioniser
Optimax (phone calls, letters & emails!)
PenicuUK.com (linked to Weatherseal below)
PickMeUpMagazine (Care: the magazine comps seem to be unaffected, but any comps which direct to comps.PickMeUpMagazine.co.uk are run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd)
Premier Christian Radio (lots of postal junk mail even when you opt out of future contact)
Prize4U
Prizes.UK

Spam issues aside, the reason for this is the way some companies run their comps. They have a comp "win £1000 Tesco vouchers", another that says "win £1000 M&S vouchers", and yet another "Win a £1000 holiday voucher" and so on. If you dig into the terms it is one comp where the winner gets a choice of prize worth £1000. The clue is usually that they are all worth the same and end on the same date. When the prize is drawn, the lucky "Hayley *****" appears to have won them all!0 -

I was just watching the news, and it showed some of tomorrows papers front pages. On the front of "The Times" I noticed that they are running a comp to win a BlackBerry PlayBook every hour from 9am to 9pm. Does anyone know any details or if a code or anything is needed from the paper?I,m so stupid that I forgot the mnemonic0

Hi,
I have just entered this week's Take a Break and it got me thinking so I posted this below...
I was wondering if many MSE users have won much via take a break? The reason I ask is because I was told today (maybe I am slow lol) that websites can find out where you came from before you enter their comp! So in comps like this, Take a Break would know I came from MSE and therefore they may well think I did not buy their mag and did not complete the puzzles myself! I am now worrying that other sites might think the same and discard our entries ans they know we have shared answers etc. What are your thoughts? I'll post on the discussions board too a not sure I should post this here? x0 -

Hi,BabbityBee
I cannot find the links but I'm sure I have seen quite a few MSE winners. If you are worried that they will be able to tell that you have found the comp on MSE just enter via their home page & not via the links on here.
Failing that use Firefox & drag the links to the address bar.0 -

hiya, been lots of winners from tab & the other weekly mags
if you search the IWIWIW board you'll find them,
if you have the
http://www.takeabreak.co.uk/competitions
on you own favs & log into the site you're only entering from your own profile (if you get what i mean)
so you just have to type/paste/copy the answers
though i imagine if you copy/paste the whole link from here to say by example on facebook they could proberly tell its been lifted/copied
a lot of comps from here seem to be put on facebook & vice versaplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0
