can somebody let me know if Planet Rugby and Sky Sports comps are the same I have just posted a sky sports comp and have been told it is a dupe of a Planet Rugby comp.
I do it just for fun and whatever I win is a bonus

Officially:- "Royal Mail advise that these stamps (no gum) are okay for philatelic use but invalid for postage as the service paid for has already been provided."

Unofficially:- Have you ever sent yourself a letter to see if they delivered it on time?

Yay sent a test letter yesterday with one of the 2nd class stamps on, and it came back in the post this morning.

So 50 2nd class stamps for £10 . Gotta be a great deal. :D Now just hoping I win from them lol .

This crops up every now and then, but they are the same comp and are always treated as dupes. When searching to see if it has already been posted search for "planetrugby" and "skysports". The other brands are rarely used on here. From their T&C:-

Planet-Rugby and Planet Rugby are brand names of Rivals Digital Media Ltd (Registration No. 04284373), a subsidiary of 365 Media Group Ltd (Registration No. 04134501), which is an indirect subsidiary of British Sky Broadcasting Group plc (Registration No. 2247735). All of these companies are incorporated in England and Wales and share the same registered office at Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex TW7 5QD.

In addition to this site, competitions may run concurrently on skysports.com and on sites within the 365 Media Group Network which includes: sportinglife.com, TEAMtalk.com, Bettingzone.co.uk, Rivals.net, Football365, Cricket365, Golf365, Planet Rugby, Planet F1 and Extreme365.

Only one entry per person. Users who repeatedly enter the same competition will be disqualified

I have recenlty started to get into postal comps, but wondered if someone could check these stamps out for me and let me know if they are legit to use. As I bought them the other day but as they have no gum etc I really am not sure.

Probably nothing. Just another imported word from America :rotfl:

    Hello
I've tried to search the forums for this info but no success as there are so many comps with this in the thread:o. Does anyone know what is the difference between a "sweepstakes" and a normal prize draw:think:?

'Sweepstakes' is used in the US to describe a prize draw where a winner is chosen at random. A 'contest' is the US version of our competition, where an element of skill is required to enter (this could just be an easy question though!)

You'll see 'Sweepstakes' and 'Contest' appearing more often as Tabs on Facebook pages because most of the App providers are based in America, and haven't adapted their terms for UK use yet!

    Hi there,

I have just had a mystery phone call from a radio station with music and then a dj talking in the background. Then the message went off due to bad signal.

I entered a competition on here a few weeks ago - it was to win £5,000 of hi-fi and computer gadgets. I left them my mobile number. But I don't remember which competition it was - I saw it on here and some-one had won - it was a competition run every Friday I think.

Does anyone know if you are contacted in this way if you win a radio competition and does anyone remember what radio station played a £5,000 Friday competition for hi-fi and computer gadgets? Confused.

I am feeling very dumb at the moment, maybe somebody can enlighten me :o

When you enter a competition on Pick Me Up (or Whats on TV, or one of the other similar sites) you can share on facebook, email a friend etc. for bonus entries. When you've done the sharing it says "congratulations, you have been awarded a bonus entry". Does that mean I have now been entered twice - or just that I am now allowed to go back to the comp and do it all again? (click through the adverts etc.)
