Well the irony of course is if I sent it by normal post, chance are it would have been put in the letter box on the saturday!

RM states it was refused which to me makes me think someone actually said "we dont accept weekend signed for"

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

And why dont they accept it on Saturday, the whole nation gets post on saturdays??
Mobiles.co.uk's excuse was they don't have managers working on a saturday ...so it seems the staff that are in can't even sign their name :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Or that anyone who is on duty is not authorised to sign on behalf of that company if they work for a 3rd party - say for instance a security firm.

And just to make the post happy -:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well that would be another excuse of course if it wasn't for the fact that the office was staffed on Saturdays ;)

Every Saturday and how do you know - do you go there and check?

23rd May is 61st day. I am not making an excuse for e2save in terms of the cashback - if there is proof of attempted delivery on the Saturday, then I would argue that with them (using royal mail as back up) before going down LBA and trying to get nasty.

Because they said "the staff are instructed not to sign for anything on a Saturday"
If they didn't work on a Saturday whats the point of telling them not to accept signed for ;)

    Who is "they"?

They might well be instructed not to sign on Saturday - working days being Monday to Friday (many businesses can have that policy).

There could be valid reasons for not signing on a Saturday if staff are there but working half day etc.

Regardless - the basic fact is the OP has proof that Royal Mail attempted to deliver within 60 days and so should argue that with them. Perhaps writing an email to their exec office - to get it sorted quicker rather than labouring with threats of court.

And in future don't leave it so late - or use the email to submit claims (which I thought e2save had).

All irrelevant. The Monday IS the 60th day - and there is no case for "working days", Silk!

All the red herrings are in danger of ignoring the only vital thing; was the bill the CORRECT one for the claim? People often get that wrong - in which case it might REALLY be out of time. T&c change not too infrequently and (at least at one time) E2Save's t&c meant sending in a bill a month sooner than (say) the same deal with Mobiles.co - checking THAT is the only thing which will prevent a successful outcome. The Saturday issue is a complete irrelevance - though why anyone dealing with this company would leave it so late to claim is a mystery in iteslf. I NEVER use recorded delivery (would have put rc but then it seems some wouldn't understand!) but always send the bill (when sending by post, which is also highly unusual for me nowadays) immediately it arrives.

This should have been asked earlier.
Can ddjones90 say when the contract commenced?? Hopefully it was October.

I actually prefer the e2save schedule, claims all paid before end of contract.
