Also, the sticky threads on the reg board will be under review as to how we use them. Glad and I have been talking and we feel that we will only use them for a strict comp that requires a onceonly/daily/weekly or monthly entry. This was the original purpose of these threads. it seems now that lots of comps get posted in them just because these websites hold competitions regularly ie. once a week or month when they can infact be completely different competitions iyswim?
So strictly comps that require an entry to it once/daily/weekly/monthly etc.... Is that ok with everyone. This way everyone can comp on the mian board like they do ie. date ending, start date, date posted etc... this will not affect this at all.
Thanks for sorting out the once only sticky
Would this also be the place for the ones in the daily sticky at the minute that you enter once and get entered into each draw (that are posted on the main forum) but that have an end date too? (The reason they're linked in the daily sticky at the minute is so people that comp by end date on the main forum catch them early, but that would work the same way if they were on the one only sticky too)
I can understand about only having the ones that are daily/weekly entry in the stickies, just of interest, which ones would be removed? Is it the ones like the once only, and the one day a week comps near to the end of the thread? (Will the one day only comps be posted on the main board each week as a new thread?) Would the 'enter as much as you like' and 'instant win' comps remain on the daily sticky?
Is it possible to have a 'purchase required' sticky so that links to any of those type could go in there? It's quite handy to have them all listed somewhere so before going shopping you can see if you need/want any of them.
Edit: Sorry, I realise there's a lot of questions there, I just want to make sure I've understood everything fully0 -

I know what you mean, but sometimes we do get comps listed like this, and i keep track of them using the thanks button instead of the entered button, that way i still go and look at the thread when its been bumped, and all days that i have entered will have been thanked.
Yup I agree, I can work like that, but it would be really handy to have a reminder in there somewhere. I have missed a few ongoing ones like that in the past because I'm on auto pilot and a bit tick happy :rotfl:That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free0 -

They will be staying in the daily sticky for now.

One day only comps should be posted on the main board ie the daily mail bag thread and comps like this unless it is the same prize or entry every week, these will be staying in the weekly thread (like the twitter comps that are the same day of the week every week and same prize etc..)
enter as many as you like and instant wins will be staying on the daily thread under a seperate heading at the end of the daily comps.

We are not planning any more stickys at the moment as we are trying to just update the ones we have with the new system in place for the time being. But it may be something we think about in the future.

I have answered as best i can at the moment in red in your quote. This is a fluid process for the next few weeks, so some sticky comps will change. But I can say at the moment that i dont think anymore comps that are on regs now will be moving to the main board i think we have sorted them all out for now.0 -

Thanks for your reply, it's very helpful
Maybe somewhere down the line once everything else is sorted the purchase comps could have a tag somewhere in the thread like the 'guessedenddate' tag which seems to work quite nicely, something like 'purchasenecessary' which would bring them all up with a quick search? They probably wouldn't need a sticky then.0 -

I thought I understood the monthlies, but now I've seen the new monthly thread I've got to admit I'm getting confused again too
I thought posting them afresh each month on main was something that was pretty much a unanimous decision in the end?0 -

New Rules Summary:-
1) There are no rules.
2) Happy Comping0 -
Sorry about the monthly ones, it was a mistake on my part, glad and a few helpers were posting them over, and i thought this ment the ones that were left were staying so over the weekend the sticky will be changing again lol.
we all make mistakes (just me more than anyone) i told ya it was a fluid situation lol0 -
Not arguing just commenting.
I thought the monthlies moving to main was part of "the compromise"
I thought "the new compromise" was that everything was going back to how it was before all this, and now we've been told what a regular is (shame it took all this nastyness for that to happen) that should work
Back how it was could/should include a sticky at least for monthlies that are monthlies as defined by divadee above?
With ppd maintaining the thread if it comes back and she still wants to.....0
