Not allowed to self promote,
But I think sometimes they pm a reg to post a comp for themMy light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly

Help please, my dh loves Chelsea, and there is a comp in weeklys which would be perfect for him. But I have looked at the info link , and I'm not even sure what a players number would be.

Frank Lampard wears the No. 8 shirt :-)0

Why is there such a problem with this?
I would not mind but the rule is so easily got around on an open forum that it is pretty much pointless anyway.
Note to competition providers don't use the words we / our in your posts and don't make your username the same as your company and nobody will ever know;)

thing is abuse can find out & if i remember correctly when the comps board was first set up it was said if the boards were open to peeps advertising their own sites etc then it would be inundated with every site/owner etc doing it,
the older peeps on here will proberly remember better than me
& it was said they would close the comps board down if that happened

I entered a comp through Love Offers, the one where you can win £1000 via N Power.
I ticked the box 'no phone call'.
Received a phone call this evening from N Power to do a review of my energy needs or some such nonsense. Explained I did not want a review, thanks.
The guy told me that it was a condition of entry to have this review!
I have checked the T&C, can't find anything, and checked the copy of my entry where I ticked the no phone call box.
He will be ringing me back on Friday evening.
What can I do about this, if anything?Loanranger wrote: »Thanks purplecat lover. I am not concerned about being persuaded to sign up with Npower but more concerned that Love Offers have passed on my details when I specifically stated otherwise. I have entered quite a few of their comps so am not looking forward to having same convo with all of their sponsors.
Hi, I just wanted to say that I'm at a loss to explain where these calls are coming from as I haven't actually posted this comp from Love Offers on the board, although it is on the website. (I knew with the hamper comp in December that people were getting calls despite ticking no to a quote ) It's been posted from a couple of the other linked Dennis publishing sites though, with a warning, but fnc83 who got in touch with me by pm about the call hadn't entered through either of these, and it remains a mystery. As fnc says, removing your phone number should hopefully stop it happening in future (so long as you don't then enter on another Dennis site where you have to put your phone number in, unfortunately, Love Offers is the only one with a log in)
I'm really sorry my posts are causing problems. I've always been a bit wary about posting these kind of ones, and do always stick a warning in, but for future I'm just going to stop posting these altogether and stick to the normal Dennis ones, as they're covered by their own privacy policy, and no one to my knowledge has had any problems.0 -
The problem is this site is advertisment free and the poster would be getting free publicity for their site.Darren0
