Are you more frugal than me?

Exactly Jackie, that was my thinking too.
Also I had no idea that afro hair was so complicated, and therefore expensive to look after, so thanks posters for enlightening me on that front, I'll complain less often when my thin, flyaway hair doesn't behave itself and I just tie it back out the way in frustration.
It's only a game

I actually stopped reading at the point the troll comments were made, because I was uncomfortable with the reasoning. My take was that the OP may have had a medical issue and I thought it was insensitive to focus on that issue to back up the troll accusations.
As a new poster making an otherwise very normal post I think more of the "be nice to all moneysavers " attitude should have been shown, and that issue in particular, which most people should realise could quite easily have had another connotation, should not have been focused on.0 -
Perhaps if people post they use wigs in future on OS people might stop & think that they might have afro hair or a medical reason because calling them a troll & tittering at them. Penny is certainly not a victim in this & asking for her to apologise to the OP for her repeated foot-in-mouth posts is not a personal attack, actually to apologise when you have a (a few) blunder(s) is the decent thing to do.
Again I don't see the "blunders"? I don't see Penny "tittering" at them, she clearly like me had no idea the OP had afro hair and like always spoke her mind. Also the OP even mentioned saving money on going to the hairdressers so there wasn't much of an indication that the wig was for medical purposes.
TBH MrsE this isn't the first time I've seen you have issue with what Penny has posted so forgive me but I am getting the impression that this is more personal, especially since you are only singling out her posts (as in quoting them etc). I know you've made a generic mention of other posts referring to OP as a troll but I don't see your insistance at those people apologising the way you are suggesting Penny does.
This has a whiff of a witchhunt about it.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I only quoted Penny because I felt as her position of authority of board guide for old style she should show more dignity that to make fun of someones posts.
I did however mention a couple of times that others where at it too, I highlighted it in blue, would you like red?
I would have thought a little maturity would have made all OSers refrain from posting the troll & wind-up thread comments about & having a great laugh about anyone wearing a wig:(
Whats even sadder is the culprits don't have the decency to come forward & admit they were wrong:(
Its very sad a load of grown women are seeking to justify this behaviour.0 -

Regardless of the rights or wrongs of this particular issue, do you not in essence agree with the concept that those in a position of authority (stated) should set an example and be above reproach, and observe the guidelines and protocols they adjudicate on with others?0 -

They (OSers) shame themselves constantly trying to justify the unjustifiable.0 -

I dont know about that as I rarely venture over here and picked up on the post in the new posts section, and as I said stopped reading at the troll accusation post. Maybe they just arent getting the point?
I would hate to think that regardless of how someone commented they would automatically get behind them because of who they were. And in this instance there were quite a few comments in the same vein.0 -
Ah but that's maybe just because they were wating for someone else to say before they had the courage to do so themselves, I think people are just seeing too much into it.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
