OH complained that I should use the good G&B White choc for a white choc and raspberry cheesecake now - why did I open my mouth? Anyone got a recipe.
Still making the muffins but will need to be tomorrow now and could only find a £9 tin in tesco which I thought was a bit much so will be popping to asda tomorrow. Thanks for the tip on ground rice, I'll look again for it again, this time not next to the basmati rice :rotfl:
I have spare ear plugs if anyone needs them - just let me know and I'll pop them on over for a nice piece of some home baking of courseLove MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -

i made gingerbread dough this afternoon and then the kids used cutters and made loads of fab biscuits. they had such great fun doing it. got bit messy, but was a good hours fun for them. they were amazed every time i got a tray of them out the oven. bless.
i'm now 32 weeks preg. got just over 7 weeks before baby due as having early due to c-sec. still got hardly anything. as it just don't seem real. i don't even really feel pregnant. but i spent wednesday building the cot and painting so getting all ready for baby. have got loads and loads to buy. just don't know where to start.i've forgotten.
i will hopefully be back on really soon again and share some picture of home baking.0 -
Sounds like good fun Jcr! Don't get to overactive will you? Make sure you get some rest! You don't need loads and loads for babyy - nappies, few babygrows and vests, hat and mittens, sheets/blankets depending on where baby is sleeping. Hope all goes well!
Not doing a great deal of baking here... half-term has whizzed by and I have done the bare minimum! We are hopefully getting our chickens next weekso we are all very excited about that! School is back tomorrow and ds1's birthday is the end of the week... need to get snack baking and birthday cake making!

heres what Ive been up to today, all from the store cupboard
the pasties are leftover chicken and mushroom, and the braid is a cherry pie filling, although got caught on phone so it slightly browned too much....nothing a bit of icing wont cover:rotfl:twinks hob nobs, some rolls ready to be iced for iced buns and a few cherry pie tarts to use up leftover pastry, should all keep me going this week:oJune Grocery Challenge 270.80/250July Grocery Challenge 0/3000 -
Hi everyone!
Well I suck at keeping to the grocery challenge this month, so really need to pull my finger out.
Today I am baking, meal planning etc when I really should be decorating-I'll be doing some next Saturday though I'm sure, once I've turfed OH out of bed as that's his day off next week!
Will be making twinks hob nobs and a traybake, might make more depending on how I'm feeling, oh and some cheese straws-although how long they'll last who knows when OH is around! He helps me out when I make thoseI think I should make some brownies as well, as I'll need some sweet food to get me through next week at work.

Doh! I knew kitten heels were no good for running - vanity made me put them on...
So thats what the clattering up the front path was yesterday:rotfl:
You'll need running shoes to get to the table faster than my kids:rotfl:
Not done much cooking today as its Sunday and was Mass this morning so the morning tends to be taken up with manically running round to get the kids and myself ready and out of the door and then when we get back its manically running round to get the roast in the oven and lunch made
I did have time to have a go with a cheese strainer I got given off a nice lady on Freecycle.Basically you fill it with homemade yoghurt and it strains all the liquid out leaving you with soft cheese like philadelphia.I'll let you know how it turns out

I made the muffins today. I'd have liked them a bit bigger as OH said they don't quite look like muffins but they are so good. Made 12 but as you can see, only 11 left by the time camera came out :rotfl:
Time to snuggle up and read some more of my book. Has anyone read Karin Slaughter. I love her books.
Pic is a bit big and I don't know how to make it smaller....Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
