I popped over to Stacey Bushes today, to The Warehouse MK in Heathfield...

I wanted to browse their range and get a quote as to an idea for flooring... I also took my mother who was after laminate for her lounge.

Their prices are very, very reasonable; and I was very impressed with the service. We were left alone to browse, and we gave vague measurements to get a ballpark figure. The young lad down there offered to follow us home to give us a formal quote there and then!

A couple of other places had quoted my mother £750+ for her hall and lounge to be laminated, The Warehouse MK came in at £630. Needless to say they've been booked; and we've booked them to lay vinyl in our kitchen.

Price-wise and service-wise - so far, very very good. I will report back once the fitting has taken place at the end of the month.

If you want end-of-roll carpets they've got a lot of stock and a lot of choice - much cheaper than Carpet Right as well...
  • For anyone that's a member of Virgin Active in MK I have started a facebook group called "Virgin Active gym bunnies"

With all this talk of going to the gym I thought it might be nice to have a place where members can chat and make friends, maybe even meet some training partners/ class buddies. It's so easy to lose motivation when you train on your own.

    Here's the link : http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5356898865

I can set one up for other gyms too if anyone want me to. (Wish I could set up a forum but i'm a techno thickie-facebook's about my limit:confused: lol )
My mind not only wanders .......... sometimes it leaves completely

Has anyone heard of 'New City Windows' in Stacey Bushes? We are thinking of having a conservatory built by them and were wondering if anyone knows if they are any good.

Can anyone recommend other companies in MK for consevatories?

I haven't had a conservatory installed, but I have had a double glazing installed by Anglian (who also do conservatories) who were very good - a couple of glitches at the time, but all sorted.

And their products come with a 10yr guarantee. They phone us every year to see if everything is OK and have come back out a couple of times to sort out some minor things.

At least I expect Anglian to still be around for 10 yrs to honour the guarantee.
