Savvy_Sue wrote:For those still looking for the Bodyscience foot lotion for which there was a free coupon in the Advantage magazine: in the Freebies section Cooper discovered and shared with us all that because of a national shortage of Foot Lotion the voucher can be redeemed for ANY product in the Bodyscience range, even a more expensive one! Several have tried this and been successful: till staff don't necessarily know about this but if they scan the voucher the money comes off!
I tried this in the Boots, Leeds City Centre branch today. No joy...assistant went off to speak to manager and I was told it ONLY applied to the foot lotion!!! Have emailed Boots to try and get a definitive answer♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -
In St helens i got a anti-celulite cream that should have been £7.95 for free. Just choose your purchase and hand it in let it be scanned, then hand in your voucher. if she complains just tell her to scan it and try it. It does work.
I didn't know about this until the girl on the till told me. We were chatting about points as she was amazed that i had 150 points of a meal deal. But i do have 2 cards both in my name and address. 1 i put points on and this seems to give me the lower deals out of the machine. The other has no points on, but i do use that in the machine, and that gives me the better offer. so i get the better offer then hand in my original card with the better offer that i have. The only difference is one says Mrs and one says Ms. So as long as the girls on the till see the same surname they never query it. Try it you might be surprised.0 -
it worked for me on monday, then again on tuesday i got a hand cream. sorry you got a grumpy assistant, try again and make her try scanning it whether she wants to or not because it seems to work at every other boots, so why not yours, besides which haven't people said it's a company-wide thing and an email or memo or something went out on friday? supervisors should know about it! ask her to check the staff room notice board, and ask for her name so you can check with head office and let them know that the staff at your particular branch don't appear to be getting information that should be going to every store
by the way the machine only offers me 25 points for a meal deal - i'm jealous of those of you getting more points lol!52% tight0 -

I have 2 cards both with identical details registered, one I use to collect my points on purchases the other has no points.
when I used my "usual card" in the machine I was offered 25 points on a meal deal ... but when I put in the card with no points I was offered 100 points, because the deails are the same on each card I've no problems from eagle eyed cashiers using the 100 pts voucher on my "usual card"
hope that makes some sort of sense to you !0 -
I had a double points voucher which I got in the mail which is valid until 30th April, (two uses). Well I used it today and when I got my receipt it said that you it was valid for another use up until 31st May!! Great!!
Advantage_Card - I thought Lush was opening on 6th May, I'll have to look again!!!“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -

I got this email reply today
Thank you for contacting me about the Body Science Foot Revitalising Lotion promotion. I'm sorry you were disappointed and I hope I'll be able to help.
When we run promotions in our shops, we make every effort to ensure the promotional material is clear and accurate and the stock is fully available. We don't want to mislead our customers in any way.
Unfortunately the demand for this product exceed our expectations so to avoid disappointment, we are now offering our customers any product in the Body Science range.
The offer has been updated on our till system and all you have to do is hand over your voucher to claim your free product.
We make every effort to deliver products to our stockist stores within the offer period. Sometimes offers are even more popular than we anticipate, so stock can run low or run out.
Thank you again for take the time and trouble to let me know about this. This gives us the chance to make things better in the future.
Kind regards,
Royston Chilvers

I've never needed to
although the staff on the till weren't aware of the updated offer, they agreed to scan the item then the voucher to "see what happens" and luckily the item I chose was deducted without any problems0 -
