Hello. I'm new to the Boots points hunt... Had an advantage card for a while, but never realised you could get quite so much out of it!

After reading most of this thread (not quite all, I have to admit!), I was inspired, and managed to get some quite good deals. However, this advantage magazine people keep mentioning - where does that come from? I saw the baby one with total spend vouchers in it, but have not spotted the other one. Do you have to ask at the till for it? Leeds city centre store is the one I've been to.

Incidentally, at that store, the Boots Fragrant Home plug in air freshener and refills are marked as being £5.50 and £2.something respectively, but, although not marked as on offer, come out at half that when you buy them (true on 27/04/05). Odd, but handy, considering I was buying them anyway...

Does anyone have any idea about how you are chosen for certain points offers, then? First time I've ever looked, but I had a 150 points meal deal token today. Am I unlikely to get another one of those in the near future?

Oh, I've just realised why the print button disappeared once after I printed a voucher... some but not all are only one shot things, I guess?

Woo, this almost makes shopping fun! :p

In the Leeds, Bond St Centre, Boots - the magazines with the voucher for the free foot cream/anything in the BodyScience range are near the doors that are opposite the jewellers. Not directly inside the doors but just a little way further in, on a stand at right angles to the doors. That is the only place I have seen them but there are loads there...in plastic bags!

    Hope that makes some sense!

  • Just a quickie that i thought was funny....

My friend had to get the morning after pill after a stupid drunken fling a while back.
After all the talk about how to use it bla bla, the assistant turned to her and said "well it may be costing you £20 love but a baby would cost you more and you can use your advantage card" LOL i nearly peed my pants when she told me! Didnt realise you could get points on that kinda thing!!!
    lol

our boots has magazines by the tills, it has two kinds, one is just the magazine, one is the same mag but wrapped together with a baby mag. the foot lotion voucher is at the back of the ordinary 'health and beauty' mag.
