I have been sanding doors all day (or so it seems :rotfl:)
EagerLearner this is what my kitchen looked like when I 1st moved in with my OH, no ceiling and junk everywhere :rotfl:
This is it now (half way)
The nasty orange pine is going to be cream and I have some wooden door knobs comming from Ebay so I can replace the tatty brass look ones.
I have done one cupboard just another 5 to go lolGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time and Love sewing

Using Wilkos On Coat Satin, it goes on easier then the quick dry stuff but takes nearly 2 days to dry out!!
First picture is after I started sanding it down as I forgot to get a before picture! Most of the handles had come off ages ago though.

thank you for your help re the manky lampshade! will try the talc 1st, that is what my mum suggested when i told her about it, then she saw it & suggested getting it dry cleaned:eek:, not exactly money saving!
if the talc doesnt work i will try the cheap bread & report back with the results. this lamp has cost me more than anything else!'there goes an old transexual, last seen heading south,

I recently purchased this from a cs, i'm sure it was less than £2.00
and here it is now,
I'm just a little bit disappointed that in a couple of areas on both the tray and mag rack the varnish has seaped through to the paper
