That's just the right size for litte people to sit at, wouldn't have thought about
that idea. And the space underneath for crayons and books.

Hi all, been away for the week to Minehead and it seems as though you have all been very busy. Well done to you all on your creations. While away we visited a little village called Watchet and there was this what can only be described as a junk shop, well i had to go in didnt i ?? my daughters were agahst with the stuff and the smell, to me it smelt lovely, you would all have had a field day with the furniture that was crying out to be altered.
I could have come home with a car full of stuff but would have had to leave the gilrs behind to fit it in lol.
Am back now and really must get going with my ebay table i brought a few months back that is in desperate need of a makeover, will hopefully post pictures as and when it gets done.

    Hi deborah

Was that the shop up the little side street? Did you see the green funeral directors? We have some great places down here. If anyone is near Wellington or Cullompton they both have great places like Steptoes yard. I bought two colanders today for 75p each and intend making hanging baskets from them.

Thank you for the nice comments on the table :D I did think the colour should have been darker with all the crayoning DGD will doing on it but opted instead to 2 coats of matt varninsh :rotfl: so it can be wiped over.

deborah sound like you found a wonderful place :D I would swap my kids for stuff to make over anyday :rotfl: (not really :rotfl:)

now let me pick your brains. i have plain cream calico type tap top curtains in my dining. they weren't expensive. under £20. but they are only a few months old. they are very long and i'm planning on taking the tabs off and sewing on a 3inch header tape. now i was thinking how can i use them to pretty them up , but tie them in with my dining room.

my dinning room doens't really have any colour scheme. it is cream walls, oak flooring, and antique pine skirtings, door, and furniture. the only colour i have is on the patchwork runner i made. but i do like the pale blue .
