Thanks NSRANSF, they look really cute :)

Love the cabinet transformation bargainbird. What paper have you used on the inside, it looks like a eau de nil shade. Lovely.

I think I would cover the paper too Hart

that is gorgeous. just wondering when you paint it. do you palint inside also ? and is a brush or smaller roller easier ?

    Hiya :)
I use wilkos own satin paint in moonlight white. Seems to be working out for me ok and it's cheap ;)
I use a brush for it as there's lots of little spots I don't think a roller would get to.

Thanks everyone else who likes my sideboard, I'm happier with it. Saved me having to buy new hehe

bexbex - really love the sideboard. Did you stain and or varnish the top? If so what shade / type / product did you use?

notsorich - brilliant job on the tray and mag rack. When you say the varnish bled into the paper...I thought you could varnish over wallpaper anyway? Is the paper from B&Q kids range? I've seen similar in there.

    Thanks :)
The top was first sanded down and then that and the knobs were stained in wilkos satin woodstain in rustic oak. It's cheap and I love the colour as I have stained the skirting board and rail in the room the same colour so it all flows now.

Whoever was asking about lanterns, you can make them from empty tin cans, make sure your opener doesn't leave sharp edges. wash tin, remove label. Fill with water & freeze, then bang a nail in to make a pattern, you can cut sections out if you want. 2 holes at the top for wire to hang them from if needed, make sure you dry well after the ice defrosts, except for the wire, a completely free lantern or 10.
