Any tips on what card I would have the best chance on being accepted for?
Thanks,
Yeah think vanquis is the best bet,if not capital one classic..
If them 2 say no think you may have to wait until your default come off....0 -

Do you remember all the details and everything, have all the original paperwork etc? If so we could see if we can get them removed for you matey.....
i never defended the claim as i did not know about them they was at my old house that i move from in 2006 i do not have any paperwork or know who i owe the money too0 -
Right just wondered if anyone can advise me on this.
I want to close my capital one credit card ASAP,the reason i have kept it open is because i have 2 and half years of history on it which would look good to lenders that i have kept good account history with them,
The question is if i close it down how much would this effect me in october when i apply for another card, and if it is on my report as settled would the lender still look at my history on the credit report.
Thanks....
Nid,or innocent or anyone can you advise me on this....

Afternoon folks!
Does anyone know if you can hold more than 1 cap 1 card?
I currently have a capital one progress, but in the future wouldnt mind the 'next one up' ie cap1 plus.
In retrospect i really should've applied for this in the 1st palce looking at the acceptance guidelines. Would i need to close the progress down and reapply for plus? or can i apply for plus anyway?
Cheers!0 -

These days you can only have one. However you can apply for the next one up as soon as you close the old one - no waiting period.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

You can close it down mate and reapply 30 days later can't you? I was sure someone here done it (maybe innocent/noah?) and closed the crappy1 then a month later applied for progress and was accepted with better limit...?
So long as you have run it ok, they will still credit score you etc but also use existing customer data so it will be easier to be accpeted, put it that way!2010 - year of the troll
